Powers & Abilities General CoA Discussion - Basic & Advanced

Yeah, it was confirmed that Oda's using the black hardening as visuals to show that haki users use a superior version of invisible armor; their hardening is just more concentrated on certain body parts.

@HPsyche provided panels of advanced CoA users using hardening: Their hands weren't black when using advanced CoA but on Post-TS Oda consistently draw their hands black on every single panel whenever they used hardening alongside their haki shockwaves.
People will believe what they want in spite of evidence unfortunately.

If Haki was actually black:
  • It's odd no character has ever mentioned anything about Haki being black.
  • One would think Luffy ballooning a black arm after 2 years time-skip would have his crew mates asking questions and none said a thing.
  • Rayleigh and Hyou say Haki is invisible.
  • Panels pre-skip void of colouring but are Haki have black shading post-skip, what more can be said?

When zoro kokas up his swords and the go black are they not harder ?
Nope, they don't go black, they just become hard.

Haki doesn't turn anything black because it's not literally black.

Just people who assume that because Haki is sometimes represented as Black, that it's literal.

Again, it requires ignoring things like Rayleigh's palms not being black pre-skip, but being black post-skip.

Or, the fact there's not one drawing of any characters during Marineford with black weapons or black shaded limbs.

Just ignore how it's stated that Haki is invisible just to convince yourself otherwise.

But you just fuckin said the point of a black blade is hardness lmfao and when zoro makes them black they are harder. Go lie down.

Lmfao poor one piece residents
That's not good reasoning at any level.

So what if they don't see Luffy coloured black in Gear 4th? Why not Pink or Orange or Green? What difference does it make?

Again, your argument is not really sufficient nor is it valid.

Your argument is just not really existent other than indicating you have a preference for black which you're entitled to have.

Thats just the basics. Hardening is a step up from basic coa

You dont have any points youre going round in circles contradicting yourself.

Nope, haven't contradicted myself.

A contradiction would be saying something and saying the opposite.

By definition, I haven't contradicted myself. The definition you're using to accuse me of contradiction is clearly inaccurate.

So your whole post including posting a panel that was your point was a typo ?
Yeah no. Gonna have to try harder champ.
I said Haki doesn't make things hard literally - that is obviously a typo because I've been saying the entire time that it does make things hard.

Doesn't require great insight.

Youve literally just said hardness is a sign of a black blade but when zoro makes his sword black and they are harder the swords arent black. A contradiction.
