Well some commonalities can be found like Zeus is God of Thunder and So is Indra but then the difference is in Hierarchy Zeus is at the absolute top where as Indra is no where near that. That is not his awakening. Every single time we have seen a character use awakening the manga has made it clear to us readers they are using awakening.

We have seen Kaido talk about awakening but received zero indication he's using it. That appears to be another one of his modes. Luffy has several modes (G2, G3, G4) and a few variations of G4.
