I mean her portrayal sucks, oda goes out of his way to not involve her in fights or anything relevant, outside her navigation skills she's almost a non factor in the story, oda doesn't know how to write female characters to begin with

This has more to do with Oda inability to make straw hats relevant outside Monster Trio, especially weaker ones. Usopp potrayal is even worse despite being a man
