Shanks' crew has fodder. It's not a 10 person crew.

Look in the background in the top left:

Rockstar is there in the background with other fodder. He's not included in Marineford. That's why I'm saying, only count his officers, which he has 8 of. With him and Beckman, it's only 10

If the latest preview for Red is to be believed then the monkey and Rockstar all count as the main members of Shanks crew.

So if Yamato joins the Strawhats them, the Red Hairs and the Blackbeards are all at eleven.

It's not like we count Blackbeard's lesser allies. Rockstar is being included simply because he's the only other known member of the Red Hair Pirates outside of the officers.


If we state that Blackbeard has 10 titanic captains then we can also state Shanks has 8 officers and 1 vice captain, because that's all he has.

Because Luffy only has 11 members in his main crew and no fodder. The fleet is clearly separate. This would be like saying we should include Cavendish, Barto, etc in the count. We don't.

I'm split 50/50 on this, in one hand I don't think Kid would gel with Luffy and Law and Oda makes it clear Kid doesn't get along with them and Luffy and Law are a team, but on the other hand Big Mom specifically called out both leading me to believe that she will see all 3 again.


On the Shanks fight I've held a belief for a while that Beckman will be Law's fight and both were pirate captains that joined their rivals crew, but now I am not so sure. Maybe Law will fight him under a different dynamic meanwhile Zoro fights Mihawk and Sanji Lucky Roux

Honestly I always felt ben beckman would fight either zoro or sanji. Possible Mihhawk if he is being recruited by shanks.
I always felt like luffy would have to fight shanks with his own crew without his allies backing him up. The fight would be more on friendly terms.

He didn't. The SBS I linked above is from Oda saying who the captains are in Volume 101. That's my point, he's still considered a rookie.

Rockstar is with them in film red previews because he's the only other named character in Shanks' crew. But if you look closely, Shanks has other unique unknown members that arent officers.
