Is Bleach Better than Kingdom?

I think the latter is more likely. I think Kanki's Army will scatter to the four winds. His Commanders will either abandon him (definitely Maron, maybe Ringyoku too) or die (Koku'ou and I hope for Zenou vs Shibashou so ol' Shiba can flex his muscles.).
ironically, i feel like maybe Maron will ride with him till the end. despite him claiming and even attempting to desert Kanki in the past. :myman:
Him folding into HSU is also a very possible outcome though.

Kyokai OMDS huge W after a long time. Kanki’s weakness is very interesting. Can’t believe I didn’t think that lol. Hara is truly a genius. Overpowering Kanki through sheer numbers didn’t work before (primarily because of HSU and Ouhon heroics). The same may happen again. I hope Kanki doesn’t lose easily this time. HSU moving past their opponents will be quite dangerous for Riboku. They can just use hit and run tactics on Riboku’s main army like Mouten did in Shukai plains.

Something else I just realized is that the Zhao abandoned that one city (forgot its name, the one Heki was going to seige), meaning the Zhao basically gave Kanki a retreat point. At first I thought this was a very strange move, but now I’m getting the exact same vibes that Ouki got during Baiyou, how Chou Sou’s retreat was so smooth that it was surely something planned from the start and not something done spur of the moment.

Riboku leaves Kanki’s rear wide open, and gives him a city that he knows he can fall back to…oh hell no, I’m calling it now, Kanki tries to retreat from this battle and Shibashou strikes him from the rear which will be the death-blow to the Kanki army as we know it.

Translation thanks to Jeeswag and the TKC :

HSU:
Kyoukai takes out the enemy lieutenant and as she does Rei says Kyoukai finally ran out of breath. She begins to fall off her horse but is caught by Shin who asks if she's okay. Kyoukai says she's fine and asks if she matched pace okay to which Shin says she matched it perfectly. He then says because her unit came a path out of the encirclement has been opened up.

Ten orders the infantry to keep the path that was created stable and for the cavalry to widen the path. Suugen telss his troops to keep strong and don't let the path created by the cavalry close. The cavalry is continuing to widen the path while Shin and Kyoukai are staying where they are. Ten yells at them asking how long they're going to stay there and Shin says to be quiet because they're just resting to which Kyoukai agrees and Ten says she's annoyed by that.

En-san is ordering his troops to help get the injured out of through the path and not to leave a single soldier behind. Ten says he did a good job bringing them all this way while En-san says there's a unit all the way on the right who probably won't be able to make it. Ten says it's okay because the enemy will probably send all their focus to their spot which will give the right side an opening to get out. However, she says there's another issue. Denyuu says they did it and it looks like they're gonna get thru this after all while Shin says not yet.

Gakuka:
The Gakuka notices that the HSU has made an opening and are beginning to leave the encirclement. Rikusen calls out to Aisen who sees it as a good thing and orders the Gakuka to head toward the opening created by the HSU to get out before it closes. As the Gakuka begin to move right they are blocked by the enemy general and Fuoon who says they're not letting the Gakuka leave. As they do they are attacked by Shin and Rei. The general is knocked back and Rei is surprised that Fuoon not only dodged her attack but actually got her back too.

Aisen sees that some other HSU cavalry are showing up and asks why they came when they could have escaped. Shin says it's not a question of why because they're still in the middle of their fight and that if the Gakuka can't escape with them then there's no meaning of escaping on their own. Bihei is holding the soldiers back by Ten who says they just need to hold the Zhao back until the Gakuka can make it over but he says that sounds impossible. Ten thinks to herself that if Shin doesn't hurry even the HSU won't be able to make it out.

The Zhao general says that Shin is pretty good at fighting to which Shin replies that he's just getting started. Fuoon asks if Rei is the female lieutenant of the HSU and she says she's her younger sister. She wonders how he can keep up with her even if she's not using her breath and suddenly Fuoon is attacked by Rikusen from behind but Rei tells him not to interfere. Rikusen replies saying this is the Gakuka's battlefield and aims for the Zhao general next who blocks both Rikusen's and Shin's attacks. A Zhao soldier tries to go in to help but is killed by Aisen who swings thru him to attack the Zhao general and knock him off his horse. He then orders all Gakuka troops to head towards the opening by the HSU and they all begin to leave.

As they all leave the narration says that both the HSU and the Gakuka, despite having a lot of casualties along the way, were able to make it out of the trap prepared by Riboku over the past half year.

Zhao:
The Zhao soldiers are watching as the two armies leave and Riboku says he has nothing to say other than that he is impressed. He then says that general Ri Shin is truly moving on to the next class. However, Riboku says that this still will not be enough for them. He says they'll have their army chase the HSU and the Gakuka out further away and use the opportunity to take out Kanki. When one of his soldiers voices their opinion that Kanki could pull off something like Shin so they must have their guard up Riboku says there's no need to worry because he is incapable of that. He goes so far as to say that Kanki does not have something even the simplest general should have and that is his weakness.

No break next week!

i don't know why nobody of you the readers don't notice that what shin mouten goal doesn't make any sense at all ?!

yep they get out with many casuall
but this is not the point.
they are just overcomed one obstacle
there's many a head of them
they are just suiciding
....

anyway the main point of this chapter is
the revealition of what riboku's think is kanki 's weakness.

kanki will proof him wrong and suprise Riboku.

In terms of capability, Riboku may be right about Kankis weakness. But, the probability of Kanki Will say that 'he understand his weakness, so he works another way to cover that' is still intact.

I only lean to kanki weakness is Shin. Similarly with BB arrogance according to WB

They were in trap. They needed to get out of trap. They are now out of trap.

Which is the part that supposedly doesn't make sense here?
the part is .
the character thinking they achieved something
either HSU or Riboku.
but the truth is They only moved from one Obstacle A to Obstacle B that's it . they are still in the trap.

So if Kan Ki excels at Guerilla but sucks at traditional why is Ousen sending him to fight in a way he hates

Wht not make Kanki fight Zhao from the shadows, harras supply lines, strike force, vanguard, scouts

If anything this is a massive fail on Qin part as a whole not kan ki
Ousen army is the one who's at recovery mode atm, their army suffered from Zhao army suicidal attempts.

He will probably do something at some point tho they wont stay forever there

Considering the HSU have overpowered the main powerhouses on that side of the Zhao formation then they have pretty much gotten out of the trap. It seems Riboku's only answer for the HSU and Mouten escaping is "Yeah, send some dudes after them".

Short of sending Shibashou himself (who is likely in reserve to deal a deathblow to the Kanki Army itself) there is not a whole lot blokes and their retinue powerful enough to deal with the escaped units.

I'll try not to draw any conclusions until it all unfolds, but I'll say I had a completely different reading of what Kan Ki's weakness was.

It was my long held belief - from the moment it was revealed Kan Ki had one - that his weakness was his cruelty. It was my reading that the hatred Kan Ki held for the world around him was a double-edge sword. It made him adept at finding ways to hurt his enemies the most in ways that would be advantageous - the psychological warfare, guerilla warfare, torture, etc. - but it also exposed him. Kan Ki waged war that way because of his burning hatred. And perhaps he suffered of tunnel vision when he was being effective, because he derived such sick pleasure from the pain of others, and perhaps this was a weakness RBK would come to exploit.

What RBK actually reveals to be his weakness though - aside from it being fucking hilariously disrespectful, it's not something that I'm surprised by, but also not something I was considering.

In essence, it sounds like he's saying Kan Ki isn't cut from the same cloth as true Great Generals of the Heavens. That thing Mou Ten spoke of to Ou Hon about 6GG selfishly viewing themselves and acting like heroes that can shape the flow of battle on their own - what that is, whatever it is that awoke in Shin at Kankoku Pass, Shukai, and now in Gian, that quality that allowed Ou Ki to inspire inhuman strength and resilience from his men when he led from the front - none of this applies to Kan Ki, if Ri Boku is to be believed.

I have so many questions.
Post automatically merged:

It was stated that Kanki never formerly studied strategy and when he is in front of Genpou, the two had a brief conversation when Genpou told him that what Kanki was doing wasn't strategy/tactic and Kanki replicated to him like "What the hell is that". He's lethal in his own, very unorthodox way but yeah there's that.
I like to think that Kan Ki has absolutely 0 formal education in strategy or tactics and is not even remotely well read in it.

He is simply a) a once born in a generation genius of warfare, and b) a depraved soul with a gift for finding weaknesses to exploit in his prey.

In my mind, had Ko Chou mentioned Su Bin to Kan Ki, he would have simply laughed and flippantly asked, "Who is that?"

I don't believe Kan Ki has ever even heard of Su Bin, he is simply so gifted.

But he's met his match because he never resolved his burning hatred of the world and it left him vulnerable to the eyes of an even rarer breed of genius - Ri Boku.
