Oda made Luffy share the credit with Law in Dressrosa, and Luffy was obviously more of a threat back then too, so this is just Oda cementing the importance of an "alliance".
Luffy was the only one who got made a yonko in the end and that is more important.

The usual paramecia awakening was defined as being able to transform the surroundings into the element, e.g. transforming buildings or the ground into strings. Ryokugyu merely made plants grow out of the ground and walls, which is what plants naturally do. He didn't transform the ground and building into wood. That's different. Same for Robin. Also, not all paramecia, let alone DFs in general have the same awakening. He are not even sure yet whether Greenbull is a paramecia, a logia (since he turned into wood himself) or even some kind of mythical Hito Hito no Mi.

If it ocurrs outside his body, it aint awakening. Plants do indeed grow up, but it will have to be directly from his body or near it.

But that is just my opinion and with opinions we are not going anywhere, it is not a fact still.

Some people still don't get the differentiating factor here is CoC.

I always trashed King and Marco because they're in their 40s with no CoC. That's enough time to unlock it.

CoC is more than just a CoA-wannabe gimmick. It's an indicator of your overall potential/power level.

The presence of CoC is an indication of high potential but the absence of it isn't an indication of low potential.

Dressrosa made sense. Luffy/Law beat Doffy together. Just like Kid/Law beat BM together.

But against Kaido Luffy did 80% of the work and finished him off himself.
