What has been written won't disappear.

Like I said many times.. Carrot's treatment in whole cake toward the strawhat was too significant to be just ignored by Oda.

Oda is about to surprise you all.
It's so funny to see how you don't address the fact that Naito, the editor at that time, is a furry that has mentioned multiple times he's very interested in Carrot.

And you can't see how that would play in how he asked for Oda to highlight her more? And then the new editor comes in and suddenly Wano has NO CARROT DEVELOPMENT AT ALL.

Multiple people have pointed out this, showing quotes of Naito fantasizing about marrying Carrot and such. But you don't address it because, oh what a surprise, you'd have to accept that maybe he had a part to play when it comes to the treatment Carrot received in WCI.

Editors don't matter.

What an simplistic way to view storytelling. That's not how authors work mate.

No, because it's irrelevant for the story, that's all.

Oh! .. some racism against mink again.. How peculiar.. But I thought it never existed here ?
after this post i think is very obvious you are some rightwing incel having fun shiting on leftists by pretending to be one. no one who has an ounce of decency would tell a black person they are being racist for feeling disrespected when someone equals the history of racism against black people to a furry cute bunny.
in the unlikely scenario you actually share the ideals you are claiming to share shut up. it is disgusting and in a serious way.

The racism is in the discrimination mate. THe systemic one. You should know that. But you don't.

Okay, you literally have no idea about how manga serialization works.

Bye.

About Editors, Oda himself said Senor Pink's backstory wasn't supposed to be in the manga but his editor at the time made him do it. Editors do have influence over what goes into the manga.

I find really peculiar how quick @Van is going AGAINST someone who is signaling signs of sexism and racism, but is nowhere to be seen when that actual person is being literally insulted and harrassed (like I was a week or two ago by multiple members here) ...

Really strange :luuh::zorothink:
So let me get this straight: you compared black people to animals, and call black people racist for feeling offended by your comments, and you believe that's fine or is too dense to notice?

Pick the words carefully.

Don't tell someone to "shut up" when you don't understand one quarter of their argumentation.

Their is a systemic discrimination against furry. Which can be visibily documented on this very forum and this very thread. That discrimination is transformed into racism when it targets character for their race and their "fur" attribute. I've seen it enough here to say that this racism is comparable to a SHORT extent to the racism we all knew. Gladly for those character, their are fictionnal so they can't be harmed by you.. wait.. they ARE harmed anyway.. indeed.. their are targetted for those same EXACT reason by other character in the story.

So..

By saying "you are comparing us to those animals" in a negative way.. you are being racist. In fact, you are doing the exact same things Celestial dragons are doing:

You are being a jerk.

They have the capacity to influence the story by giving some ideas, not ereasing it.

you compared black people and animals
YOU are comparing black people and animal. I'm comparing the struggle of the mink and the fishmen with the struggle of black people:

Sentient beings targeted because of their appearance.

So like I said earlier, by diminishing the Mink, and calling them mear "animals" you are acting like a Tenryubitto.

Is this a form of racism ? I think yes.

You guys should be more careful of the way you treat your appreciation of the characters of fictions.. because it's actually telling a lot about who you are in real life.

Now, you can ban me if that's is making you uncomfortable.

The fishmen in One piece endured the most racial assault; not only was Jinbe warmly accepted into the crew but he also shared one of the most beautiful and heartfelt scenes with Luffy when he donates his own blood to him. As we see that both their blood is red, no difference between them. Two races with the same blood, completely indistinguishable, because while they may look different on the surface, they are the same within, as we all are. So I don't know where this racism that you see is.....but it's not in One piece, nor it's fandom.

You're still calling racist for not liking Carrot. You really gonna continue?

dude fishmen were created to be an allegory to the civil rights movement of the 60s, minks weren't. A comparison of black people and fishmen is valid, because Oda literally copy pasted their backkstory from a real life struggle. The minks comparison just screams out of touch lol.

Anyways aren't the minks canonically racist? and this isn't arlong we are talking about, Wando or Carrot called humans "lesser minks" lol

You're still calling racist for not liking Carrot. You really gonna continue?
Where did I say that exactly?

Spoiler: Nowhere.

You can dislike Carrot if you want (even if the concept of disliking a character for no reason is inerantly problematic but okay..) the problem (and racist stuff) is when you use her mink attribute to spread your hate.

I targeted no one here, but the fact is: It happened, a LOT.

That's why I think that tweet was on to something and not half wrong.

The minks comparison just screams out of touch lol.
Not really no. The fact that Oda decided to focus on fishmen doesn't negate the fact that Minks are being targeted for the same reasons.

You missed a panel mate.
