I really liked Yamato during Wano, I thought he was one of the most interesting new characters in wano. I feel like his dynamic would be really good with the Strawhat's. My only concerns with any new nakama (other than my beautiful boy Jinbei) is how much less panel time we'll get for the current SH's.

Heya all! I'm a long-time lurker around here and this break finally made me create an account on the forum :)
I'm a Yamato supporter (even tho they annoy me with their Oden stick as I dislike Oden and don't understand the wank around this character), but I'm still not entirely convinced they will join, because who knows, Oda may suddenly make them travel with SHs temporarily, or make a Jinbei-like promise "need to sort out some stuff in Wano first" and so on. I believe them to be a good candidate because they stand out, they are hella strong (the fights with Yamato might've felt underwhelming so that we won't see everything they have in their sleeve) and overall I find their character appealing as we don't have a tomboy girl in the team. They also don't really belong anywhere, and it's a common theme for most of the SH imo. So I want them to join, but am afraid of Oda shenanigans and don't want to celebrate too early. I need a panel of Yamato being on Sunny and referred to as a SH before I drink my champagne :D
Fellow Yams supporters, why do you think it's 100% that they join? Are you sure they will be the last one or is there room for more?
As for Carrot, I don't hate her, but I don't want her to join tbh, she's kinda lacking for me. I like her as a supporting character but not really as a SH material. I think she might sneak up on Sunny again, but really hope she won't. She belongs with the minks imo.

Here's the thing right, we don't know she'll join for sure. Oda can be weird and he may have other plans for her, who knows? I strongly believe she will, but until we get an official 100% confirmation we can't know. She sure as hell has more chances joining than Larrot (who got ditched by the roadside at this point ever since the furry naito got the boot) or Tama who had no chance in joining in the first place, that's for sure.
I personally don't hate Carrot (can't speak for others, obviously), in fact I quite like her (or I used to, moreso in WCI). At the time I thought she was the next SH, considering how much screentime she had. Turns out it was an editor meddling in, so now that we see what Oda really seems to think about her (that is, making her a background character with barely any screentime who couldn't even beat Perospero in her strongest form, and in a 2V1 to boot) it's obvious her role in the story is over. My problem is certain users pushing her and pretending she somehow matters at this point, and calling Yamato fans names for it (just look at C4N's twitter and some of his posts here). Basically, I don't hate the characters, I dislike the fans around said characters who behave irrationally.

Ohh, Tama, the 8-year old who wants a mommy, definitely not my choice for nakama. We're getting to the point where SH will kick BB's ass (and his crew obv), what would Tama do? Please let her finally have a normal life with her friends in Wano and eat plenty. I will be really mad if Oda adds her to the crew. With Carrot I would at least understand why, with Tama it makes 0 sense to me.
C4N is a legend, but in a bad way. I cannot understand whether he truly believes Carrot will join or is just messing with all of us. I've seen his posts, it's another level of twisting everything to fit his theory. There are only a couple of sane Carrot supporters here, Shift and PotGoblin, yes, they like the character and want her to join, but are not obnoxious about it. The rest encourages me to dislike Carrot (not that fans of other characters cannot be toxic, but the amount of disagreeable Carrot fans is surprisingly high here). So I hope she stays with minks and appears on cover stories, she's fun, but not SH level.
Now that I think of it, I kinda want an arc with SH only, focused on their dynamics, maybe having decent 1-on-1s, not another tons of characters arc. Especially since new people are joining (I'm talking about Jinbe, just in case :D)
