The stupid game with Mereum and that lil child ????
All that stretching we have this boat arc for years and there is still no real progression
There is no proper story line what is actual Gons goal ???

We have an stupid father who has no real reason to leave his son unlike Dragon who dedicated his life to change the world
We have a bromance with Kiliua and Gon

And after one step he dedicates 10 pages why and how he took the step and after the second step he again explains why and how he took the step


In Skypia, Water 7, thrille bark, punk hazard , Marineford, east blue , Zou, WCI or Wano we dont have any princess to save
also princess are in two arks first in alabasta Vivi played a crucial role as guide second Rebecca fought and was saved by her father it was more dramatic than an actual element

second the time OP is a time where royal families ruled so to ally with the royal family is logical to gain domestic allies

third thats how life is today enemy becomes tomorrows enemy thats politic and Luffy is a pirate he doesnt really have to care about those moral codes for Ace he allied with Crocodile also gaining valuable allies is important to match those big shots
also it isnt common that enemie become allies Bellamy and Robin
Robin helped him due her own interest and Bellamy was actual the first turned one
Croc and Ceasar were temporary thats all

You write like those things happen commonly in OP but they arent also its nice to see that Luffy is not one dimensional like Gon but can even use enemies to gain his goal

For battle we agree but HXH is not better one step explanation one step explanation look at the south park wrestling episode thats how HxH fights are except Meruem vs Old man Netero

stop making shitty excuses already,
I'm not even that big of a HxH fanboy but the writing is way less lazy. (Thanks god, with all the break Togashi take)

To be fair if oda took 10 years to write 2 chapters while giving the middle finger to his fandom who would close their eyes on it and while enjoying time under the sun on beaches around the world with his reader's money, all of that while pretending to be somehow sick and coming back everytime he needs more money, I bet Oda would be even more praised than he is right now.
