Momo telling Yamato to stay out of the fight is further proof. He is basically saying you will not always be here to help us, I need to do it myself.
Yamato is leaving with the strawhats. I had a weird idea that Shanks is after the poneglyph and will maybe kidnap Robin as well. So Luffy will have to fight him. For shanks this will be like the final test of Luffy.

Least your being reasonable and understanding that when an author put a character in your face the way he did Yamato, its not to transfer all of her hype to someone who has nothing to do with her
With that said Carrot still has a chance as well it just may not be in the way her fanbase wants her to join
At this point it doesn't seem like Luffy is going to ask her to join and Carrot is the "act now and ask later" type
While Yamato is going to ask to join and Luffy having no reason to say no, the same applies to Carrot as well
But she won't just ask, when the crew is sailing away Carrot is likely to have snuck aboard and when they discover her she'll ask to stay... Carrot having a relationship with the crew and Luffy having no reason to refuse, Carrot could join
The biggest issue with this is that given the relationship she has with the crew and her popularity in the community having her sneak on board the ship of her friends and subsequently have to beg to stay is a big middle finger to her as a character

That was only ever mention by Kaido in the context of creating his version of Wano
And it truly was the guardian of Wano, where was it when Kaido attacked? Why did Kaido have to leave Wano to get the fruit?
At this point its painfully obvious that the Pink Dragon the guardian of Wano
Because they just liberated Wano, what was she supposed to do, sit back while Greenbull destroyed the country
He wanted to kill Luffy, Luffy saved Wano, Wano won't let him kill Luffy, Greenbull kills everyone to get to Luffy... its not hard

- Then explain why the name "Nika" follows that same pattern
- In a lot of close-up shots, Yamato basically looks like Nami. You realize why this is a problem, right? The reason he gave Robin a unique design is that she and Nami are going to be in the same panel a lot of the time. Now what does it saw about Yamato that she's a Namiface?
- Enies Lobby was also a war, and yet we still got to see Franky interacting with the crew
- Why does it matter if it was mentioned by Kaido? It's still something that's in the story? And yes it is Wano's guardian deity. Why would you even question that? You're making up a headcanon out of nowhere to cope
- So is she just supposed to run off while Aramaki destroys the country while she's gone?
- Or maybe CP0 could just see her run by. It's not that complicated

It's not a forshadowing, it's a shadowing. That's something quite different. But it was indeed done on purpose so you MUST take that planting into account. Each and every role was setup in one way or another, sometime with obvious pattern and situation, others with more subtilities.
My point is, there MUST be a planting related to a post in the crew for that post to make sence once the character is introduced in it. The reason is that without that, the post would feel like something coming out of nowhere.
That's why the post is the biggest advantage Carrot has on Yamato and why Yamato is unlikely to join the crew.
