What we learned today: Being ignored in the next arc after the one you got introduced to does not mean that you have become irrelevant, instead it "adds value" to your character. So if your boyfriend starts ignoring you and is flirting with other girls it doesn´t mean that he wants to break up with you, it only adds value to your relationship!
How many arcs is this going on then? Always secretly sneaking on the ship despite nobody wanting her to travel with them again. May work once but next time they should control every inch of the Sunny and give the unwanted rabbit a kick over the plank as soon as they found her :P
It means that the fact that Carrot was not portrayed too much in Wano doesn't negate what happened on whole cake, it only adds value. Meaning, Carrot as the SAME chances she had at the end of whole cake. Period.
Technically, what was written won't disappear. So we are at the same point we were after whole cake. But I guess you will have to see that for yourself.
In fact that's not that easy, the story says otherwise.

What kind of logic is that? Carrot getting no focus on Wano doesnt mean the arc didnt matter and you can just ignore how she was sidelined. Its too convenient of an excuse, anytime she is treated as a candidate it counts but when she doesnt you can forget it
Fact 1: Carrot is 15, she is still a teenager who want to enjoy life to the fullest
Fact 2: Carrot has been THE representation of the mink tribe in anyway shape or form since their introduction (even in front of Inu and Neko in both the story and the meta).
Fact 3: Carrot is not a leader and was never represented like one
Fact 4: Carrot has been shown LOVING the sea and the wonders of the world to a CRAZY extent.
Fact 5: Carrot left once zou before
Fact 6: Carrot LOVES the strawhats
So.. Looking at those facts, let see what could happen:
1 - Creating a crew for herself?
Why would she do that when she can just hop on the Sunny again. Plus fact 3, Carrot is not a leader.
So.. No
2 - Joining a crew of minks on sea ?
Why would she do that when she can just hop on the Sunny again and join the one crew she loves. Plus Carrot has been THE representation of the mink, why would she settle to be just a number in a crew when she was the face of the mink tribe ?
So.. No
3 - Staying on Zou / Wano ?
Why would she do that when she is sure to have a much better time on the sea? Remember fact 1 and 5, she is like a teenager beside of a roller coaster and she already left once before. Her characterization is clear : Carrot will seek fun EVERYTIME.
So.. no
4 - Being captured ?
Why not, but it would be odd for someone to capture Carrot out of nowhere
So.. very unlikely
> So the only thing that make sence if we follow the characterization of Carrot and those facts is that Carrot will want to have fun again, Zou will not be enough and she will sneak again on the Sunny. Remember the words of Oda "my character are sometime acting by themself)
Carrot sneaking on the Sunny is just the most simple and logical outcome. In fact, Carrot would have 1 panel in the entierity of Wano and this take would stay the same: She will sneak on board.
No one is ignoring whole cake, we simply acknowledge that Wano completely erased all expectations of her becoming a SH since Oda sidelined her hard. Her being Chopper's little sister? Led to nothing since she only talked to him once I think; Dealing with the loss of Pedro and finding out about the dawn? So far it meant nothing, even though she spent a month with the minks; Her confrontation with the man she sees as responsible for Pedro's death? Offscreen and she didnt even play a role on his defeat. Whole cake was the dreamy set up(for her fans) and Wano was the harsh pay off, they arent disconnected

If you are implying that I'm going against the author you are wrong. I'm going into his direction in fact. I'm just not forgetting what he planted in his story.

Whole Cake did set up a couple of things that could have been explored and could have made her a solid candidate. But Wano has now come and gone and you guys got nothing.
