I’m ngl I feel really bad for the Zoro fans that care about more than just his strength like @Franosuke

Nidai plot? Abandoned
Ryuma plot? Abandoned
ZKK? Gone
Black Blade? Left pretty much unexplained still

I don’t think ZKK was ever gonna happen but this is even worse than I thought

The most Zoro got was the comparison between him Ryuma and Ushimaru that led nowhere and was left completely unexplained

People came up with theories just for Oda to shut them down immediately. I know some Zoro fans are against the idea of Zoro being from Wano but damn that’s still kinda tough

Enma this Enma that instead of expanding on his potential connection to the Shimotsuki, learning more about Ryuma’s legend, or forging a Black Blade which is key to his journey

Fans of other characters got done dirty too (Chopper not using this time to cure a major illness, Usopp basically doing nothing) but Zoro fans got it the worst

I don’t hate Wano and I love One Piece but I’d be lying if I said this arc wasn’t a fumble from Oda

5-6/10 max for me

:mrgo:

Oda did a real 180 and suddenly really hates Zoro fans now for some reason.

Not in terms of feats/powerscaling ofc but for the stuff you mentioned. This is completely unforgivable on his part imo.

guys, zoro gonna have for sure another power-up, maybe enma or wado will become black blades, and he’ll for sure explain how he went to the hell and came back after meeting the grim reaper. This is Oda launching a hint that will be used later, just like when he showed for the first time Sanji’s poster with the “only alive” part

black blade tbf always felt like a pu much later down the line.
but yeah the arc was rushed.

also what was the point of zunesha , to confirm luffy is joyboy?
For me Oda clearly intended to open Wano's border (which is why Zunesha was there) during this Arc but something after Luffys awakening definitely happened behind the scenes.
Oda decided to suddenly rush it, don't know if he grew bored, if it was the reaction to the whole Nika stuff which pushed Jump Staff to intervene in a arc that wasn't really popular even on its targeted public (japanese people). But something happened, hopefully nothing related to his health.
