@Paperchampion23 Yamato joining next chapter is too obvious, kinda defeats the purpose of a cliffhanger. Nothing might happen but to me it feels like Oda will pull a surprise next chapter. We might see Carrot or Caribou sneak in

Yep, that's my point. Something feels off about this. Yamato is very obvious. We know this. That duo celebration with Jinbe is happening. Oda dedicating two pages to Carrot taking over is weird (i.e. it could have just been shown differently with her just accepting in a few panels lol, why have her feel conflicted for 2 pages and then mention Pedro and then.....nothing lol).

I've just been proposing the question of: what if the lack of Carrot has been all made to establish the same stowaway gag a 4th time lol? There's precedent for it already. That's all I'm really saying.

Sure, we can argue about uniqueness or relevancy, but those have nothing to really do with what has been established on the page. She was a major character during WCI along with Jinbe. In Wano, while less relevant, she ironically has more impactful scenes than Usopp in terms of action sequences. Like think about that lol, a strawhat was given less to work with basically (no double spreads).

Compare Yamato and Tama

Yamato confirmed what she wanted to do, live like Oden and set sail with the Straw Hats
Tama confirmed what she wanted to do as well, train under Shinobu and become a powerful ninja, and join the Straw Hats when she's ready
We do not get this confirmation with Carrot, she even gives conflicting answers by saying that she'll accept the position without thinking then saying no after realizing what they meant. Then the scene leaves off without her giving a proper answer.

Oda is a cruel bitch to leave a cliffhanger like that if he's just gonna make her accept anyway. But the bottom line here is I feel that Carrot is going to get at least 1 more big scene last chapter, whether or not she accepts the position as the Lunar Queen.

The fact that Tama used the word Nakama both times with Ace and Luffy? Garp is not a pirate so Tama can't join his crew and go on adventures with him.
Tama has also build a bond with most of the crew already, especially Nami.

Garp is Luffy's family member. Whoever Luffy allied with, he would escort them whatever they need to go. Wano would allow him to come into their territory. Even Dragon if need be.

Yamato is coming in the next chapter, possibly joining the straw hats at the end of the arc. This has been set up ever since she unmasked herself talking to Luffy. We have gotten a full fledge flashbacks surrounding her character, databooks, and the marketing for her in the one-piece official youtube channel throughout the raid; at the end of it, Yamato wants to go on an adventure and see the world just like oden did. I believe she has much more to develop as a character coming to understand her purpose in life while traveling with the straw hats. She might end up stopping calling herself oden, wanting to have herself and have her legacy just like he did.

Yamato has talked about joining the straw hats throughout this entire raid, asking to ride on his ship waiting to meet Luffy, telling Kaido she is joining him, talking to Luffy's crew, refusing to eat or bathe until he wakes up, momo telling Yamato you are going to leave soon. We cannot allow outside forces to help us. Yamato is finally making her decisions. I am going with Luffy now.

I feel like the words that you hear, Tama words. Yamato words don't mean a damn thing to you.
