- Together with his crew clashes with Garp and Sengoku
- Takes possession of Whitebeard's former territories
- Defeats former Rocks Pirates member Wang Zhi
- Defeats Whitebeard's former right-hand man Marco, gets declared a Yonko*

For all this, Blackbeard gets awarded a bounty of 2,247,600,000 berries

For this, Blackbeard's bounty goes from 2,247,600,000 berries to 3,996,000,000 berries

Yeah bounties are reliable, are power levels, are well-thought and make perfect sense...

Bounties are for the fans to have fun and to show how the WG/Marines view Pirates.

Up until Enies Lobby, most of the Straw Hats didn't have bounties, because only Luffy, Zoro, and Robin had really caused the Marines problems. After, the whole crew became wanted.

Sanji's "Only Alive" bounty showed us someone had altered it from above.

The current bounties show us that the WG considers Buggy forming Cross Guild to be more dangerous to the WG than Luffy beating Kaido, and Law and Kid beating Big Mom.

So... this means Blackbeard did something we don't know of to inflate his bounty. Like maybe steal an Ancient Weapon right near Amazon Lilly... like Poseidon?

Maybe Blackbeard's black hole nullifies haki but I doubt. Luffy couldn't use haki when in seastone cuffs so maybe it is similar.

I never saw Chinjao using Ryou on a weapon etc..did he?

I will have to go back and verify. At minimum I think we can all agree that coby is definitely more power and more competent than most vice admirals

Sure Oda can randomly create another random event that will have no weight on the story to try and explain that as he is often doing nowadays.
Doesn't change the fact that he is retconning it within the story of course.
