Only ones I can think of that fit the pattern besides the strawhats are Law, Wyper, Momo, Yamato, Vivi, Rebecca, and Kyros, maybe you could argue smoker and Tashigi. 9 out of 9 recruits fit this pattern as well. Carrot doesn't. Not that any of it is relevant since Carrot was left behind alongside Yamato.

Are you being intentionally ignorant? Obviously I'm not referring to everyone on the opposing side to the villain. I'm talking about characters who are significantly tied to the main villain. Not in the sense of being tangentially related to them or being indirectly victimized by them. Each of the strawhats are connected to them on a personal level and are a primary factor in the conflict with them. Can you really not see a difference in the connection of Franky with Spandam, Chopper with Whapol, Nami with Arlong, Brook with Moriah etc and Bepo with Kaido or Blue Gilly with Doflamingo?
