Is Bleach Better than Kingdom?

What L? Victory is surviving, it has been since Ri Boku’s cage fell on them.

They were tired, haggard and beaten. They had barely made it to Sekirei when they got poisoned.

There is no basis for making this out to be a product of Heki’s failure. The guy has been playing against impossible odds.
Getting poisoned after taking sekirei is an L in my book.

I know what happened and it was still idiotic of them not to check.

In this case it is his failure as now they are at the mercy of their enemies. Wonder was bs reason is gonna save him now

Where is the L? Heki is the only reason Sekirei is putting up a fight against Zhao, and therefore according to Mouten the only reason Qin won’t be completely annihilated at Gian.
Getting poisoned and now being at the mercy of their enemies is an L mate. If that's a W to you then so be it 🤷🏾‍♂️

My guy.

They were poisoned as soon as they arrived.

By what absurd standard are you judging Heki for failing to check the wells? They were running ragged from the Zhao.

Even if Heki had the foresight to consider the water supply was poisoned, at what point was Heki supposed to check the wells, the moment they arrived? Those of them not dying of their wounds, were likely weak, tired and dehydrated from fighting and retreating without rest. You can see it in the artwork.

Heki did well to survive. He arguably saw the most intense and worst of the Battle at Gian. The fact he has ANY of his own troops left is impressive.

They've been at the mercy of Zhao since the enemy encirclement raised.

What you keep willfully ignoring is that Heki had no business making it out of that Battle at Gian alive. He had no business rallying his men, never mind finding the time to help others.

That Heki managed a retreat to Sekirei and then raised the morale of not only his own men but also the others - that is some Great General level leadership. I never saw it in Heki myself until now.

I honestly do not remember asking for a recap of the arc. I know what happened, and just waltzing into the castle they just took from the enemy without thinking to double check what they're being given is an L to me. Disagree all you want, i don't care.

Now that he and his army are the mercy of Zhao, i do wonder what type "not an L" moment he'll have to get out of this situation

The recap - if you want to call it that - was me giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming your take was one based on hazy memory rather than plain stupidity. No number of panels will help with that.

As you were.

Since they became generals, the Q3 have seized Eikyuu, effectively vanquishing the Ko Chou Army, conquered Heiyou, Bujou and Atsuyo, broken Ri Boku's cage and somehow still managed to take Gian. The next round of promotions should be soon.

The most conservative round of promotions for the Hi Shin Army would have it triple in size:
15,000 Hi Shin Army:
  1. 5000-Man Kyou Kai Army >>> 10,000-Man Army
  2. 1000-Man So Sui Unit >>> 2000-Man Unit
  3. 1000-Man En Unit >>> 2000-Man Unit
  4. 1000-Man Gaku Rai Unit [Special/Defunct] >>> 0
  5. 1000-Man Suu Gen Unit >>> 2000-Man Unit
  6. 1000-Man Na Ki Unit [Special] >>> 2000-Man Unit
  7. 1000-Man Ga Ro Unit [Special] >>> 2000-Man Unit
  8. 1000-Man Den Yuu Unit >>> 2000-Man Unit
  9. 800-Man Archer Unit >>> 2000-Man Unit
  10. 500-Man Hai Rou Unit >>> 1000-Man Unit
  11. 500-Man Den Ei Unit >>> 1000-Man Unit
  12. 500-Man Ryuu Sen Unit >>> 1000-Man Unit
  13. 200-Man Taku Ei Unit >>> 500-Man Unit
  14. 100-Man Chu Tetsu Unit >>> 300-Man Unit
  15. 100-Man Ryuu Yuu Unit >>> 300-Man Unit
  16. 100-Man Bi Hei Unit >>> 300-Man Unit
  17. 100-Man Seki Unit [Scouts] >>> 300-Man Unit
  18. 100-Man Ka Ryo Ten Unit [Bodyguards & Messenger] >>> 300-Man Unit
Total: 15,000 >>> 30,000
30,000 isn't a bad floor at all, the final number is likely to be higher on account of the fact Ka Ryo Ten could command anywhere from 100 men to 10,000, So Sui and Na Ki could easily be promoted to as high as 5000-Man Commanders, and while I think he'll probably just absorb Gaku Rai's unit for now, Ga Ro wouldn't be a push for command 3000. That puts the HSA's potential growth in 30~47,000 range. And that's without accounting for new units or additions to the army.

I think we'll end up somewhere in the 35~40,000 range, with the Gyoku Hou and Gaku Ka at 30~35,000.

Riboku planned counter measures for the sack of Gian

Wonders why two of the strongest units in Qin sacked an undermanned city

He somehow dismissed that Kanki might have had a siege tower when the campaign is about taking Gian in the first place
Why not deploy a couple thousands on the city walls to begin with, especially since you have a massive numbers advantage

Classic Riboku
:pepeke:

No news of Zenou, hopefully the surviving member bears good news
:josad:

Do we know how many days it would take Ousen/ Riboku to reach Gian?
Not sure but Riboku can definitely reach there quicker than Ousen coz whole battlefield took place on the outskirts of Gian while Kanki needed at least a few days to reach Sekirei from Atsuyou.....

Kanki is definitely fucked up here or if he/Hara made another asspull here. Saying this only coz him not leaving Gian or caring for his life only isn't happening which contradicts his character.

It all depends if Ousen can reach fast enough, Kanki can definitely hold a couple days with Shin & Mouten, and seems like he’ll make use of the civilians who fled, probably didn’t make a word of it as to not arouse Shin.
They also have pregnant women in the city

Ousen not taking advantage of such good opportunity isn't quite fitting here as well. I highly doubt if he didn't make a big scene at such moment to disturb Riboku's grand plans.... lol

With full fledged experienced army here (of around 15k), Kanki should definitely be able to holds up for 2 or 4 days and Gian is a big castle with high walls and not some small city.

Bring back those dark plots of kingdom... lol
