It did tbh, it was too sudden
It was explained how he did it, and I get the why behind it too, but I didn't expect it from the guy that comes up with their tactics

I hope the next episode gives more attention to him and his motivations

The one thing that's certainly coming next episode: some Chigiri focus

Everything is pointing that way. The guy is the only one that was hiding his weapon, and has yet to go into the offensive (well him and the GK guy).

I saw manga readers tease him as a great character so I'm hoping for some compeling stuff

from what we've seen so far in the anime chigiri looks to be the typical cool guy character and we know most people love this kinda characters

He's giving off serious too-cool-for-school vibes so I hope there's more to it than that.

We already got him being self concscious amd vulnerable because of his injury, but I'm still holding out hope for more.
