Hara was inconsistent with real history sometimes so i thought (most of the Kanki fans as well) that Hara might choose something different for him as well. That was pretty obvious after him taking Qin 6 rank as well.
Looks like Kanki might not be in Gian but left a message for Riboku.

Translation by Saemoon
General from Gi’an: A message… from Kanki… has been left for us…?
Corpse: “I will carve the tragedy of Hika into history”
Zhao Officers: Wha! What does that mean? Does he intend to brutalize the people of Hika instead of using them as hostages?
General from Gi’an: If that’s so… Don’t think I will simply kill you… Kanki…
Riboku: No, Kanki is the one saying I will not simply roll over and die for you.
Tagline: The Riboku army rushes to Hika, but…! No break.
@SakazOuki this might be a bit more interesting now. Lol
"But...."
Riboku will defeat Kanki at Hika but something tragic might happen which will anger Sei and revoke his Q6 title . Same goes for Riboku this incident will damage his credibelity in Zhao court , and Ousen will take advantage of it
If he draws Riboku to the east then Ousen can stop worrying about Roumou and join him or make use of the diversion to strike Kantan.
Also the further east we go the closer we are to Shibashou
Yeah this is how I've imagined Kanki's demise to be. He's going to be defeated but Hara is going to give one last exposition to his character, do something crazy that may result in another clash between him and Shin and then be killed or retreat to somewhere else. Either way I'm fine with it. I think Kanki had a good lifespan and more than enough screentime throughout the story.
Damn, just notice that you didn't even tag me in the spoilers tag list @Shanks Ditching your boy like that.
But it's fine cuz I don't usually follow spoilers unless it's hyped or worth seeing.
So it seems like Kanki might die/defeated soon. It would be a good way to end the year with Kanki getting defeated in the last chapter of December, if not then we can start off 2023 with Kanki's defeat.
Btw, something that I'm curious about.
In one of the articles I read, it said that Huan Yi (Kanki) got defeated then retreated to Yan, or was that supposed to be Hanoki? (the Ai general that participated in the battle of Kanyou during the state of Ai arc)
Then in the different article, it said that Kanki got defeated and killed by Li Mu (Riboku) in the battle of Handan (Kantan).
Added you now @Warchief Sanji D Goat and @Arara . I think there were more readers in Kingdom before. I hope to see more of them in discussions and will add them later on.

Chapter summary thanks to jeeswag and the TKC.
Gian:
The chapter begins with the conversation of the Qin having to wait for reinforcements from HQ. Kanki says that Ousen will not be coming to everyone's surprise. Kanki says he's spent a lot of time with Ousen so he knows that he wouldn't choose to come to Gian because of the city next to him and they don't know when the troops from Kanyou would even get there. Marron asks what they should do and Kanki tells him to call the Saki clan.
In a flashback Kanki tells Shio that he feels kind people like her have it the worst. She replies saying someone who sees the world as well as he does must be suffering more. Kanki says he's not suffering and the ones who are suffering are the others. She then says that if two people like them stay together long enough then something good might happen.
Back at Gian Kanki is called for by Marron who tells him everything is ready and asks if he's really going through with it. Kanki says yes. In the morning Kanki's soldiers sees Riboku's army coming in with crazy numbers. Once they arrive Riboku's army immediately begins attacking Gian. The general from Gian is leading them saying that they will take back Gian from Kanki. As the Zhao are attacking with big morale and climbing the ladders Riboku notices something off. When the Zhao get to the top of the walls they realize there's nobody up there except a few of Kanki's soldiers who surrender.
Riboku receives reports saying all sides of the walls are empty and the Gian general says they might be hiding out with the hostages. He then tells them to open the gate from behind if there's no one defending. SSJ tells Riboku to not enter yet in case the Kanki soldiers are hiding to take out Riboku by surprise. Riboku says he knows but... Inside Gian the soldiers have their guards up as they search the castle. However, they receive news that they searched everywhere in the castle but have found no trace of the Qin. One soldier says there's no way they're just gone when the Kanki army probably had around 10,000 soldiers with them and there's no place to hide that number. When another soldier asks what could have happened Riboku says Kanki is most likely not in Gian anymore.
A soldier is shocked that they would just abandon the castle like nothing and SSJ guesses the Qin may have known they couldn't have held out until reinforcements came. Riboku agrees saying if they couldn't hold the castle after they got there then they really couldn't have run away. The soldiers wonder how they got out with 10,000 because an army that size would sure to have been noticed by the west castle. However, in the west the Qin were all killed so they must have gone east which is surprising because it's in the opposite direction of the Qin HQ. Riboku thinks that he went to the castle far in the east called Biha. The Zhao are panicing because that's where they sent all their citizens and Riboku is sure that he went to the castle where there are 100,000 of their citizens.
The Zhao soldiers all ask Riboku to order their advance to Biha. Riboku then gets a report asking him to come to the east gate of Gian. The soldiers around him says it's not time for that but Riboku says he will go and tells SSJ to bring a few soldiers with him and send the rest to the east side to prepare for march. At the gate he is met by a tree made up of body parts and the Gian general says Kanki left a message. "Biha's tragedy will be engraved in history." The Gian general says Kanki will never have an easy death. Riboku says they will never let Kanki have an easy death.
The Zhao are panicing because that's where they sent all their citizens and Riboku is sure that he went to the castle where there are 100,000 of their citizens.
100,000 is a big number, this should also include the families of a big portion of Riboku’s army.
If Ousen applies pressure on Riboku his army will be torn apart between duty and family.
