Hi everyone! I caught up a few weeks ago and really like this series! My favs are Osaragi, Nagumo, Shishiba, Papa Takamura, Sakamoto, Natsuki, and Akira. I thought Shin was kind of boring, personality-wise, but he's growing on me. I also like Heisuke and Lu-- I just hope they stay relevant since Saka adds every new character to the family haha.
Questions:

- What is Gaku's power? Is it just super strength? Like he punches holes in people so do you think he's a modified human? And why is he so worried about the bathroom?
- Why didn't Sakamoto use a fake name when they went to JCC?
- Is Kashima a furry? Y/N

As for the questions...
1.) I think like all the other elite assassins, Gaku has superhuman stats with his own unique weapon. As weve seen him use before.....his weapon of choice was a giant warhammer with a lazer device installed. But of course Takamura sliced it up. So im assuming he's just gonna get a new hammer.
2.) Yh the start of the whole JCC plot was kinda kooky. I was confused on why Sakamoto didnt use a fake name, since he does look physically different now. Idk how he even got into the exams.
3.) Probably....he does love animals.
Yh I think Sakamoto Days is a highly intelligent show setting aside it's amazing action scenes. It's commentary on the assassin world, it's world building, it's character development, etc. It's just really special tbh. I just hope the author can keep it up....but im not gonna keep my hopes up too high lol.

I agree! Turn the store into a supermarket and hire all the foundlings there. I really like how forgiving and understanding Sakamoto is. I was kind of surprised when he took in Apart after all the fucked up ideas he spouted.
About Gaku, I'm torn between thinking he's just a regular guy with super skills or a modified human. He's into tech and he doesn't mind being Kashima's sewing project...
The start of this arc was weird. I don't think the part with Aoi finding the flyer in the trash even needed to be there-- why not just have the others discover that the exams were happening? They were already discussing it and Aoi just came out of nowhere. She and Hana are definitely weak points in the story. There's just not a lot of flavor there. It would be cool if one of them gets to go on missions at some point and have some growth.

Yeah, when they entered the JAA, Slur told him the bathrooms were on every other floor, and then he had to use the bathroom after he took out the first bunch of people. It might just be a gag. But what if he's some kind of cyborg?

Sakamoto Days and Spy Family have been my favorite "new" series so far. They're similar in the combination of humor, absurdity, and cool assassin shit.

Eh, CSM is more of a habit for me nowdays. I wouldn't call myself a fan of it.
And yeah, Sakamoto and Spy Family are very similar lol, that's why I hope the eventual Sakamoto anime will be as big of a hit as Spy Family is
Aoi in general is a weird person. I mean she literally threw herself off a building to teach Sakamoto about morality. I do believe she has had a positive impact on him. But her methods are really sus. Probably why Sakamoto may start having a messed sense of morality. Example:- Letting Apart off the hook and allowing him to join lmao. I think the author could do a plotline with Aoi actually being a messed up person. But then again I feel like it would just make the plot convoluted lol. Idk I like how Aoi and Hana are as of now. Not completely in the story...but defintely outta the way.
Idk Gaku seems normal to me lol (in SD standards). Though he is pretty young, him being an enhanced soldier could explain why he is strong. But then again so is Osaragi (presumbly) and Prime Sakamoto....who was like 22 and Order lvl+?
As for being Kashima's sewing project....I dont think he had much of a choice lmao.
