Questions & Mysteries If anybody can confirm these are real or not, we still dont know how Shanks fights

#23
He says, "there haven't been many images of Shanks drawing his sword and fighting." Still implies that he fights with his sword.

Even Mihawk won't fight as simply as coating his sword with haki and swinging it around. Zoro himself doesn't do that, considering he creates visions of demon gods (such as Ashura), replicates doping (Ichi/Ni Gorilla) and a bunch of other stuff.

In essence, not knowing how Shanks really fights =/= Shanks has a strange/hidden fighting style besides swordsmanship.

You just posted picture that shows Hachi as swordsman, the guy who used his punches as final attack vs Zolo, and used a body slam vs. Zolo during the fight similar to how Alber fought. Also Roger, who used a pistol vs. Shiki. And Rayleigh, who trained Luffy without even carrying his sword along with him.

Swordsmanship is just a style of fighting, we've seen Law is literally trained at other martials arts as well, he can mix it all. No one said Shanks can't use anything else as well. Its not forbidden lmao.

That's saying like an MMA fighter who can strike, wrestle and grapple, is a striker. Yes, he can also do other things, he is also a wrestler and grappler, that doesn't mean he isn't allow to use other techniques.

Pica used a sword at first, then dropped it and focused on his Haki. Zolo admitted he couldn't cut Pica if Pica had greater Haki.

If Shanks has greater Haki level than Mihawk, (which he has) what even fodder Pica tried to do is too easy for someone like Shanks to do.
I posted facts. Oda is the one who called them swordsman. That's means they are swordsman. You can't decide someone is not a swordsman just because you don't want them to be one.

Don't try to change stuff up now to avoid the L I gave you. I never once said swordsman are limited to just swordsmanship. Here is my previous post:
King should have made these clear but apparently it's still too difficult for some to understand.

Using swords doesn't make your swordsman. It's the swordsman (or Oda) who determines whether they are or aren't a swordsman. King and Kaku both uses swords and their entire body to fight. King is not a swordsman. While Kaku is a swordsman.

Oda has made it clear multiple times Shanks is a swordsman.

All Oda was saying was he not sure of the sword style Shanks will use. There are a lot of different swords styles in One Piece.
A swordsman can use whatever attack or other type of style he wants. That doesn't stop him from being a swordsman. That why I used Kaku as an example.

Pica started out fighting using his body and DF powers. He switched to swordsmanship and then back to using his body. Pica never stated he was a swordsman and neither did Oda.

There is nothing in the manga to states or supports Shanks having stronger haki than Mihawk.

LMAO really...?

Gryphon... Probably a rare sword, and even some trophy from one of his fights from the past.

Could be even a familiar relic (remember Oda almost spit that he's something like a noble, with that surname which was... Farland? Fairland?).
Hes not had gryphon for 33 years.
Hes had a sword for 33 years

I hope Oda goes all out with Shanks. Fighting style, backstory, contribution to the arcs he's in, everything. The flaming sword seemed cool but if Oda didn't come up with it, he shouldn't restrict himself to that technique (though including it in the manga would be nice) and do what he feels fits the character and story.

As for the usual Mihawk/Shanks arguments, not sure if Shanks going all out would even change much. Some will argue his main weapon is a sword, some will say haki changes that. Mihawk and Shanks have been portrayed quite close but Mihawk and Zoro's utilisation of haki kinda gives me the impression Shanks isn't far off from them but if Oda makes a point to separate his style then perhaps.
