I look to see what a mangaka is capable of on their own first. Lol.

If it takes Kubo a full anime team to halfway fix a shite final arc that was left a complete mess about a decade ago then Kubo failed the first time round. Man should have just ended the series at the conclusion of the Arrancar Arc.

Often times an anime adaptation is better than the original so not sure what the problem here is ^^, plus the ideas to fix the problems of the last arc come from the man himself and the anime team merely facilitates him.

An anime should just be the author's work animated and given a soundtrack. If an anime has to fix the author's work cause the author fundamentally fucked up their plot then that is on the author.

Besides, I rarely see an anime adaptation that is straight up better than a manga and whenever I do, it was usually a piss poor manga.

Well the Hunter X Hunter anime is far better than the manga for one, then you'd have Demon Slayer's anime topping its manga to name a few. They didnt really fix much of the plot per se but they brought their respective work to higher heights with their release. I will agree with you that an anime fixing author fumbles is on the mangaka first and foremost.

Also authors are allowed to edit and redo their work thousands of times before release, mangakas have it much harder. What's happening rn is more natural for your typical author anyway. Mangakas are doing this on max difficulty.

Truly, that was the worst trade deal in the history of trade deals.

I did also look at the anime and I bailed when I learned of how much filler was in it. Between those two things, my limited phone credit, my preference for going towards source material and my general preference for manga over anime, I went with reading Bleach over watching it.

Results were mixed to say the least.

Honestly wondered if she should have been the protagonist. At least we would have been able to stay in the Soul Society rather than be dragged back to Ichigo's dumb high school shenanigans.

That or Kubo could have killed Ichigo, have Rukia send him to the Soul Society and avoid high school shenanigans that way.

I used to have high expectations for Chad. Thinking he is the pure muscle of the OG gang: Ichigo, Rukia, Uryu, Chad, Inoue. If Ichigo is all balanced, then Chad is pure STR, and Chad's AP would be > Ichigo's balanced stats AP.
Then shit happened. Chad became the San** of Bleach. Him without his daddy's help.
