Acoc and nen seem similar, you can unlock it after having a taste (unlike nen you need the genetics on top tho) Zoro and Luffy both reached Acoc level around the same time BC they knew witnessed the principle in practice. Luffy 90% charged his CoC battery and kaido just put the cherry on top whereas zoro's CoC battery was empty and kaido charged it. Yeah it makes zoro seem "better" but they are around the same level atm.
He wouldnt because the size of haki compared to size of fist is actually rather small.
Smaller than base Luffy coating his fist. Unless you want to praise him and Sanjuan Wolf for being big...
Luffy isnt an island sized person he's still normal sized when he does baraj gun. But yet coating three swords is more impressive
Crazy that somehow coating three swords means Zoro has more adcoc release than Luffy. Never knew Zoro was the haki God of OP and had better conquers than Roger, Whitebeard, Mihawk and shanks.
Being a specialist is just a type of Nen category that doesn't fit into the others. It doesn't mean you're anymore special then the rest since Nen heavily relies on strategical use.
AdvCoC on the other hand literally marks that character as special and having kingly ambitions. And is something you need to figure out/unlock.
While nen, specialist hatsu or otherwise, is something every single person in HxH has the ability to learn. Like basic haki in OP.

His fist is island sized so he is island sized. And the haki coating relative to fist size is very small.
Meanwhile, normal-sized Zoro is leaking island-sized haki... Not even a competition.
But Zoro really is THE haki god of OP.
Shanks, Mihawk, Roger and Whitebeard cannot hope to be like Zoro.
That was clear from day 1.
Well you see
Sunbell was seemingly the only Fishman on Roger's crew and he was equal to Vista in the Anime and Vista is equal to Mihawk thus Sunbell is equal to Mihawk and since Jinbe is his parallel this means he's also equal to Mihawk.

There is no developing into specialist, either you are born with it, aka you do the water test to discover your affinity(genetics) and find out you are or not.
Togashi made It clear specialists are above, there is a whole scene with a character saying" If you find a specialist, run away"
Specialist is a HUGE Power UP and clearly superior to other categories since you are able to fully use categories you werent supposed to while others users can use 3/4 at most, even though ging and netero have used ALL categories despite both being classified as enhancers(watch them get retconned by togashi lol).
Kurapika becomes specialist because of his eles changing something i forgot to which allows him to become specialist hence why his trainer did the water test again after seeing his red eyes for the First time.
TLDR: specialist is like CoC, you are either born with it and find out later or you don't.
ALL specialists in the series, with the expection of kurapika, were born with that.

@Sir Yasheen@NikaInParis I don't know if you guys follow HxH manga, but one of the heirs who happen tô be a specialist literally developed an ability to look into the future and also stop time, If this isn't superiority than i don't know what it is lol.

armament haki is applied the same way as conquerors.
its why when luffy used it he had a Hyou flashback teaching him about armament haki. so for your point as to why oden was suprised, its the same confusion luffy had in udon about ray or sentomaru's prowess with armament.
The concept of not touching the opponent isn't just a thing unique to conquerors, its the exact same with armament. they are used in similar fashion in combat.
Oden is from the land of Wano, the land of Swordsmen where even ordinary samurai know Ryuo.
So do you think he was surprised by the fact that Roger & WB used CoC coating or Ryuo?
P.S. After Kamusari as well, you can see Oden rushing at Roger with a "What the hell was that?!" reaction.
Here's a list of known specialists so far:
- Leol - unimportant character
-Tserredenich - probably the main villain of the Succession Arc
-Pakunoda - unimportant
- Kurapika - one of the MCs, his Specialist ability is actively killing him when he uses it
- Hina - random Leol squad member
-Chrollo - strong guy, one of the main antagonists
- Neferpitou - one of the main antagonists of the Chimera Ant arc
- Meruem - the main antagonist of the CA arc (keep in mind that Chimera Ants were hyped as a Dark Continent creature of great strength, so the king and his guards being strong regardless of nen type was a given)
- Alluka - non fighter, plot device, and her strength comes from the Dark Continent creature living inside her
- Meleoron - CA arc ally
Out of all of these you could make a case for Chrollo, Meruem and Pitou for being "special". Kurapika's ability is detrimental to his life so it's shaky to count it as a big power up since it's conditional. But even if we do so, that's 4 out of 10.
Meanwhile you have Gon, Killua, the other two royal guards, Netero, Uvogin, Phinks, Feitan, HIsoka etc who are not specialists
And out of all the mentioned specialists the one with the most broken ability is Alluka, who isn't even one with the ability to begin with.
Again, specialist is just a designation for nen that doesn't fall into any of the other categories. It doesn't make you automatically stronger than any other character since developing a hatsu and actually training nen require talent and will (take Chrollo and Neon as two extremes - one trained and honed their skills, the other doesn't even know about their nen)
