Character Discussion Zoro's lineage is revealed by Oda

Is Zoro a real/true/direct/main Shimotsuki?

A fan made the family tree apparently and oda just said yes
How does that make it any better?

Would've been fine with Zoro not even getting a backstory than this nonsense lol.

I don't like the Ryuma lineage. Let Zoro be the random who clawed his way up through sheer willpower, we got enough of super duper lineages. He still kinda is that to an extend, the Ryuma lineage was from centuries ago, and both his parents were no named randoms.

That makes no sense.
Ryuma himself is a normal man with a 3rd ranked sword who like zoro made himself strong through fights
Neither were born top tiers.

Ryuma was a normal human
He doesnt have anything like Bloodline or special power like the D aka magic sun power.
You better stop now while you're still in time.
Ryuma is one of the godlike humans of the remote generations. I'd be very surprised if Oda didn't connect him to the Old Kingdom, and therefore to the Ds.

There's literally the Sword God's blood in his family tree lol

But really why is there a problem for Zoro to be descendant of one of the greatest in history ?

Luffy Son of Dragon / Grandson of Garp
Sanji genetically engineered ( maybe even some crazy species DNA like lunarian ? )
Zoro descendant of Sword God

literally everyone's even on the genetic boost side here

He is a distant descendant not pur blooded shimotsuki. doesnt even have the same hair.

I mean It arent even close.

The only thing we might argue is that Zoro inherited Ryuma's will because of the same dream to be the strongest once why his haki is so strong.

that aside Zoro didnt got 99,99% of Joyboy power that is awaiting to be unleashed by one of his descendant in a devil fruit nor did he got sceince power.

You better start working on that Zoro vs Mihawk draft and send it to Oda @nik87 :crazwhat:
The Strawhats alliance sends their strongest warrior to fight WG's strongest warrior who sends Mihawk.
Already mailed to Oda. :goyea:

:pepecopium:

If that was the case, he would've simply ignored it instead of okaying it
Nothing changed by okaying it either. It proves it is not important.

How do you know that Ryuma was a normal dude? Maybe he wasn't.
Yeah he probably had a 3rd grade sword to begin with, since we know turning a blade permanently black improves the grade and black-blade Shisui was only 2nd grade

If we are talking abount being born top tier.
Even Luffy wasn't. Fodders of new world would solo BoS Luffy, he too clawed his way up from fodder tier. Still doesn't change the fact that he had some super duper lineage through Garp/Dragon, got chosen one sun god DF, etc.

Not important enough for Oda to bother creating one himself.

Important enough for LOda to hint about it and mention it in Wano, and then okay the headcanon of a random dude instead of throwing it off

Okaying someone's headcanon is weird but ultimately it has no impact on the story.
He said from the start that this stuff wasnt important. This shows that he meant it.
It is not relevant to the story overall or to Zoro himself.

Man, if there is something good that came out of this atrocity by Loda, it is the Pinzoro memes lmao. Shit's hilarious

If it wasn't important, why did all that stuff kept getting hinted and teased in Wano? Clearly Loda had something in plans during Wano, and just like the countless plotpoints that were buildup and abandoned throughout Wano (probably to finish it in time for the shitty ass movie), this also got abandoned.

You can't have it both ways my dude, he wouldn't tease it in the manga if he doesn't care about it; let's stop coping and accept that Loda screwed up with this. It would be just one screwup in the 1000 screwups he had in Wano

To bait people. No other reason, looking at it now.
I already agreed long ago that he screwed up Wano.
However, Zoro's lineage was bound to be irrelevant from the get go.
So okaying this fan fiction, didnt change anything.
He agreed to something that isnt really relevant. As he said it wouldnt be.
