Literally being called a POS for buying a game in which the controversial person had no involvement with is awful.
The royalties are here. So it depends, if you don't know it. Maybe. But if if you are buying it willingly...

Are you saying that for example
Anyone who buys a Bowie or Led Zeppelin album is a Ped*?
Those guys are still alive ?

The problem is the financing, if those guys are dead. I don't really see the problem.

so in your opinion, does playing Hogwarts legacy make you a transphobe/nazi?
Not if you cracked the game. But if you buy the game knowing full well that it will help transphobic idea then..

Okay explain how buying this game is harmful to trans community, like at all?

That's what I don't get.
I thought it was clear:

If you buy it, then you indirectly finance a transphobe who will use the money to finance transphobic propaganda and associations.

So buying it is indirectly harmfull for trans. Even on a small scale.

I don't really know how to put it more clearer.

But you can still play it! Just crack it. I think the crack is available now.

I mean sure but just because Rowling is a Nazi, that means everyone else that worked on the game that doesn't just get paid up front for it and gets nothing from sales should suffer?

That's not fair.
The only one getting paid after that are the sponsors, the royalties and the studio itself. Devs and those who work on the game are paid weither the game is made or not and I wouldn't blame them really.
I mean despite being a genderfluid /nonbinary person idk much about these discourses because I don't use much social media
I still don't really understand how twitter works😅
Only because people here link OP twitter content/spoilers have I begun to make use of twitter for other reasons
I didn't even know what non binary meant a few years ago. Twitter and youtube really helped in opening my view on those matters. SO there is always hope.
