Would have been nice if Oda actually showed Zoro cutting King in flame on :kayneshrug:
I think he did cut king with Shishi sonson

Anf there is this weird clash moment where it seems like King has a very oddly belated realizaition about how threatening Zoro is

I think in this instance zoro did land a blow.. and the fact that king is twisting midair which is also ODD..adds to that notion further

Zoro is using Acoa as you can and not Acoc

Because Oda is inconsistent as fuck with visibly demonstrating Haki.

We already know Enma was draining Zoro, and he was matching its Haki drain. From 1033, before 1035 when Zoro beats King:

Zoro: "What do I do? I can only keep appeasing it if I keep going all out with my Haki! But that could kill me! No... this is how it's meant to be!"

Zoro couldn't stop Enma's Haki drain, he was using Haki the whole time. Oda just didn't draw it in until the finishing panel, because, once again, visually inconsistent.
It being inconsistent is weird coz there are clear instances of focus where zoro does not use full haki burst mode.. Like when he clashed with King against his Hair comb sword..

And others as well

That seems like an less likely case
