The point is that you are so sure that Zoro is weaker than Luffy that you dont even notice Zoro having harder challenges than Luffy.
You didnt notice that a guy who has "beaten" Kaido cant do anything to children with the ability of Zoro's opponent.
Zoro already fought and has beaten, overwhelmingly, the peak of humanity, as VP would call them.
And Zoro, always, wins overwhelmingly in record time, without help, without extra rounds while Luffy is the complete opposite.
If you analyzed the fights well enough, you would notice that Zoro is not equal to Luffy but much stronger than Luffy.
Even if you're bad at power scaling, it was too obvious on rooftop who the top dog is and after rooftop, the gap only grew in Zoro's favor.
