Time to accept 3 facts.

(1) Shanks is a Swordsman.

(2) Roger is a Swordsman & Shanks/Roger both use the same style of combat like Yamato/Kaidou.

(3) Mihawk's Swordsmanship > Roger & Shanks.

Mihawk was just not the Strongest Swordsman in Roger's Era, he is in Shanks' era.
Mihawk & Shanks being very close to Roger is a possibility now.

4) Mihawk has developed his own sword style and became the greatest while Shanks inherited Rogers swordsmanship pretty interesting revelation from this chapter

I've always defended Shanks unless it's against Mihawk.
Because Shanks hype = Mihawk's hype and the other way around is true as well.
They are rivals, set in stone.

Shanksbros and Mihawkbros only differ in who's stronger (and by slight amount), there is pretty much no problem unless someone rates Mihawk far below Shanks or something.

Just like how luffy and law got the same bounty for taking down doffy

Bounty isn't strictly because of individual strength but accomplishments
Luffy despite always being stronger than kid and law + always had a stronger crew got the same bounty as them for their shared accomplishment. Not their strength or crew
