You wanting Shanks and Roger to be the swordsmen who dont want to cut their enemies, makes no difference. The leaf Zoro didnt want to cut, didnt experience any damage. So you saying that has no support. Shanks break Kidd's cannon roughly into two parts, Roger vs WB displayed the same blast. No sharp, no cutting. Their CoC is dominant, the black lightning and CoC invisible zone and crushing force was dominant. Their swordsmanship was well..okay at least they could swing their sword.

No blowing up effect, the railgun had white lightning effect, that was AdvCoC no-touch effect. Very different.

What the...i didnt invent air bar term lol. I just said that it was not cut, it was more alike to someone smash a plate into two pieces using blunt force. Thats not a cut. You do see Mihawk's cut and Zoro's cut. They're precise. Shanks' cut was, well...you ever see someone breaking something into two pieces using a hammer? Just like it, the pieces are broken.
I've been breaking a lot of thing and I can tell you that Kid's rail gun won't split in half like that if it's hit by a blunt force.

Well if you just want to imagine hypothetical scenarios, i can also imagine both Roger and WB depleted all their CoC and only their weapons were left, resulting in Roger scarring WB. Anything can happen in offscreen, it doesnt have to be Roger disrespecting WB's strength...even when Luffy's base / G2 attack was avoided by hybrid Kaidou.
