Honestly this is ridiculous people managed to convince themself that someone who was leader of the most dangerous prison in the world where there are shishibukai, revo,pirates wasnt a top tier even though its literally the level needed minimum to rule such a prison. Now tha oda remain loyal to that portrayal and put him against garp they are downplaying shiryu even though they know well that this wont end well for garp and shiryu will stop him somehow. According to them its fine for kuzan to fight garp ( even if he got help they will headcannon it into he did it alone) but shiryu the actual second strongest vs garp is untinkable for them Lol.

Most OP fans act like this. They're not as smart as they pretend to be and recency bias always has them on a chokehold.

When their nonsense gets destroyed by Oda, they'll jump on the bandwagon and repeat the same talking points. Rinse and repeat

Only way for Shiryu to stand a chance against Garp is if he got someone as a hostage, could be Tashigi or Coby or Helmeppo.

are you aware that the gap between shiryu and garp is almost non existant if we murst compare shiryu to coby, tashigi and helmeppo? the most powerfull person that island right now is garp and shiryu is the most dangerous. anyone beside garp will get absolutely wreaked by shiryu and anyone beside shiryu will be absolutely bodied by garp. Pretty sur both are aware they will have to stop each other.

they dont get it, this chapter ending is just as fake hype for garp as marinford Whitebeard Enter attack. In both case there are fodders wanting to leave untill the powerhouse on the island made their move and counter attack. If Chapter ended with fodder screaming to leave it mean it wont happen, the blackbeard pirater will take back the upperhand untill moria and co help garp and swords. Shiryu is about to fight garp and he wont even use his full ability untill his fight with ZORO.
