Please tell me. How exactly can you dodge apoo's attack? Luffy even stated that he knew Apoo was going to use an attack. The issue isn't that he can't predict it, its that he couldn't dodge.
Same with Luffy vs kaido. Right before thunder bagua, you see a panel of Luffy's face in which luffy seemed shocked. It is fully believable that kaido, the strongest creature, was able to speed blitz luffy. FS won't allow you to dodge if your not fast enough.

there's a difference between being a master and being a specialist. Luffy is a CoO master, he has attained the highest level of CoO shown.
Sanji is a CoO specialist. That doesn't mean he is the best CoO user, just that he is better at it than CoA. Rayleigh explained haki specialization. Most haki users pick one type of haki they are good at and master it to a higher degree than the other.
If for whatever reason it bothers you to call Sanji a CoO specialist then fine, but i'm not going to argue semantics.

I mean no, with ACoA its different in that it is more or less confirmed that Luffy will beat Kaido.

My point is that anger is core trait of Luffy's character and FS is a mismatch on him. He will use it when Oda needs it, perfect plot element.

Luffy is able to infrequently see the future, Katakuri is the master. Fujitora is also a master, they are characters relying on CoO all the time.
Sanji can use CoO, he can sense emotions which is a separate branch, you can call it advanced but that makes him a specialist? ...
A specialist is when some is very good at something and CoO seems the least usable haki in combat, Fujitora and Katakuri aside.

ACoA has given Luffy the ticket for the show against Kaido because without it he was in the locker room despite giving it his all.
Ability to harm Kaido is far from beating Kaido, we can expect a massacre despite so many allies and help against Kaido himself.
With tons of help he may beat him but Kaido has Zoan recovery, he will be back on his feet fast, we saw how fast Queen stood up after Big Mom spanking. His head needs to roll and Zoro is the man for the that job.

Well first of all, i think it's luffy's FS which is overrated. People think luffy's FS is already on par with katakuri (a friend of mine even think luffy's surpass kata's lmao) just because luffy "defeated" katakuri. We all know katakurihas honed FS longer than luffy so thats why katakuri's FS looks decent, meanwhile luffy awakened and learned it during battle vs katakuri, and practice it a bit in udon. I'm sure luffy's FS is still inferior to katakuri's.

And honestly FS doesnt suit with hot headed person like luffy, so maybe due to his anger to kaido's subordinates who wasted oshiruko, luffy was still not calm enough to activate FS when apoo attacked him and zoro.

thinking back on it I think you are right. Luffy's anger allows Oda to conveniently turn off FS whenever he needs to. However I disagree with you're statement that Luffy only sees it infrequently.

When Luffy actually is using it, he is demonstrating katakuri level feats. Like in udon he was predicting moves 3 steps ahead. It might be a bit weaker than Kata's, however given how much his haki grew in that fight alone, it wouldn't be a stretch to say that Luffy's CoO is on the same level as kata's.

I think the situation for Apoo is special. I think he has a hax DF that allows him to use attacks that are both undodgeable and unblockable. Its the only logical reason why both Zoro and Luffy got hit by those attacks.

Many people doesn't realize or rather doesn't want to acknowledge that the reasons why FS makes Katakuri seems invincible is because the fact that he was able to change his body shape in accordance, while the FS itself isn't as good as people make it out to be.

Nope bud even if Zoro got it, it would still be much less relevant than advanced haki because it is that way
