It's not blind hate, it's just not blind fanboying. Unlike other characters, Oda hasn't developed him like he has with other characters. I didn't say Zoro would beat Doffy nor did I imply he had a chance of doing so. But the point is Oda still gave him a power up and hasn't given him a true challenge (where he is at 100%,) so that WHEN HE DOES fight a strong enemy, it isn't like going from getting your ass kicked by Doflamingo to beating a first commander.
It doesn’t matter that he hasn’t had a true challenge. The only reason I brought up Doflamingo is because everybody that isn’t a fanboy knows he would have been obliterated by him. We know where Zoro stood, so him not getting a full on fight doesn’t matter. It never mattered. Law also didn’t get his ass whipped by Doflamingo either. Law going from Doflamingo to commander makes more sense than Zoro does, knowing that Zoro would have been stomped by Doflamingo, and his only fight thus far having been someone significantly beneath Doflamingo.
Oda hasn't given that to Law. We saw his limit at Dressrosa and Oda hasn't showed us that he's powered up since then. He's one of the main characters now, so why didn't he show that? Maybe because he hasn't gotten stronger? He showed Luffy getting stronger, Zoro getting stronger and even Sanji getting stronger while Law is seemingly the same.
We haven’t seen his limit. That’s made up nonsense. Oda also doesn’t need to show us that he’s gotten stronger. He hasn’t shown us that any of the SH’s that were on Wano during WCI have gotten any stronger, besides Zoro. By that logic, they haven’t gotten stronger either. It’s been well established that people get stronger the further they move in the grand line on their journey. Saying Law has been stagnant is ridiculous, considering that and how he scolded Doflamingo for remaining stagnant himself.
How the fuck is Law supposed to handle Cracker when Luffy was struggling against him? You know, Gear 4 Luffy who had just come off thrashing Doflamingo? Yeah, Law wouldn't have stood a chance against Cracker.
The only reason Luffy struggled against Cracker is because Cracker stalled Luffy and hid behind his crackers. Law’s fruit eliminates that entirely, and Cracker would be well within range at all times. Law would have probably beaten Cracker faster, because Cracker wouldn’t have been able to hide from him.
The gap between Luffy and Law is so astronomically big, that it would take some fairy tail bullshit to have them being somewhat close again.
It’s not astronomically big. It’s fair sized, but nothing that can’t and won’t close later.
I like Law but I can't stand it when people try and put him next to Luffy like they're equals. Oda's made it very clear who is the stronger out of the two, and he hasn't made the effort to make it look close either. You saying he's to Luffy what Whitebeard was to Roger is a complete joke and is completely forcing a parallel out of nothing. Like I said before, Law will never come close to the legend that was Edward Newgate.
When have I ever said they’re equals? Please, quote me on it. I’ve said they’re rivals, not equals. All I said is that being weaker now does not mean they aren’t rivals and won’t be equals, or near it, later. That’s
exactly what happened with Whitebeard and Roger. They’re not forced parallels and it’s not a joke.
You're more than free to like the character (as I'm sure many do) but trying to make him out to be Luffy's equal is just silly when Oda has shown us time and time and again that Luffy is levels above everyone in the alliance (barring Marco now ofc and Kid due to the Udon rivalry).
Again, never said they were equals. Don’t know why you’re pretending I did. Also, the to say that Kid isn't as far down as Law is compared to Luffy because of them lifting bricks is laughable. At the end of the day, Kid and Law received the
same portrayal as Luffy’s rivals, despite what you say.
