Chapter Discussion Translations based on the Japanese text

That was always how I read the raws lol

Fact of the matter is Kizaru still disobeys him.
I wouldnt say disobey to be honest, Saturn asks him if he can just go through as hes light and Kizaru agrees then he asks him to ignore Sento but the main divergence starts here, in the older translation he says :

"I can't abandon my ideals"

Whereas in this one he says something akin to this:

"At least let me do it my way"

He's trying to compromise and Saturn lets him because it doesnt really go against the mission.
There is another way to see it....

Saturn despite being CD let kizaru do whatever he wanted and didn't question or ordered him around while he did so with VAs and others.
Kizaru isnt disobeying him here though so why wouldnt he let him be?

Also in Japanese he literally says "kudasai-yo" which if you've watched enough anime you may recognise, which is often used when you want to ask someone for something politely like "please give me X"

He would be saying the word ''please'' to someone he's straight up defiant to.

I think the overall message was still conveyed the same.

Luffy -- Someone powerful is here

Kizaru -- if Sentomaru wishes to fight then so be it, I won't ignore him.

After raws

Before it - you came up with two other stuffs

And, it doesn't matter if it says strong or very strong.

What matters is Yonkou luffy is calling someone strong and have shocked scared face

It's not about disobeying

Saturn: "The Frontier Dome has a 'laser' interception system, right? And you are 'light'...can you get in?"

Saturn ask a simple question to kiz - can you get in? Because he knows kiz is capable of

Kizaru: "Honestly I could, but my friend is protecting Vegapunk down below."

Kizaru politely says he can but he won't because of his friend
Saturn: "You can easily bypass him."

Saturn gave another reasoning for kiz to bypass the lasers

Kizaru: "If I ignore the determination of the man who stands in my way, I will lose face. Let me at least be reasonable."

Now kiz comes up with above statement.

It implies two things.

1)Kiz character development moment - honouring Senta dedication while requesting Saturn to do it.

But more importantly,

2)Saturn actually giving respect to kiz decision by not ordering him to do otherwise. He let kiz do what he wants. This actually means a lot because in the same chapter he was portrayed as savage by not caring about human lives yet...here he is letting kizaru honor senta because kiz wants to

So, it's mutual respect from both Saturn and kiz

It's not worth making a thread about this but Kizaru prioritising to off his Nakama first is a lot
like what Lucci talked about Assassins, if they are friends they go for the strongest first..

Assassin Justice.. Killer Justice?..

Nah kizaru is doing his own thing rather than 100% obey Saturn like robot. Kizaru is doing his own/selfish way.
‘Sandman explain kizaru on 1090 which that is how goku will act like this . Literally excuse for fight .

‘Lke son goku give senzu bean to cell amd moro , and spare vegeta when he beg krillain to not kill him for his reason. Goku allowed frieza goes full power instead killing non-full power frieza.

Same Saturn got stressed out and kizaru have to explain the plan to him.
‘It does not make Saturn look good or look superior to kizaru .

Now that the Japanese RAWs are available, here's translations of a few sentences which more accurately reflects what was said compared to the very early scan we got last week. Thanks to sandman for the translation and clarifications.

Saturn to Kizaru

Saturn: "The Frontier Dome has a 'laser' interception system, right? And you are 'light'...can you get in?"

Kizaru: "Honestly I could, but my friend is protecting Vegapunk down below."

Saturn: "You can easily bypass him."

Kizaru: "If I ignore the determination of the man who stands in my way, I will lose face. Let me at least be reasonable." *

* Translation by sandman. Kizaru wants to fight Sentomaru because he thinks that's what someone who has strong determination and resolve deserves, "running away from the fight" wouldn't be cool in Kizaru's opinion.

Luffy at the end

"Someone's arrived! Someone strong!". He doesn't say "very strong". You can decide if that matters or not

I like Kizaru's response here, makes it seem like he really respects Sentomaru and wants to show him respect by fighting him, although this does make him less ''defiant'' over Saturn which the older translation led us to believe.

Thoughts lads?
Its the same like "Cog in a wheel" changed to "I'm just a slave" kind of thing. Latrine fanbase got played again by stupid early translation from a C grade site. Now they know once doom dutt da da hits, its over for Lizaru. Deactive the accounts Marinetards, you will get everyshit back you have said about Yonko and Luffy over a false translation.

How do you arrive to that conclusion from this?
Seem Kizaru is not holding back. And Sentomaru really is the greatest defense of the world and manage to block his attack. While we still have to see the outcome of it.

Although lore says all marines from Vice Admirals and above knows those techniques from CP-9 we don't see them using that much.

What else can it be than just CoA level 2 Barrier?..

I didn’t see the determination thing as kizaru not listening to Saturn’s orders like many people thought
If was simply a suggestion
Tho I like kizaru’s line abt not running away and betraying determined soldiers
If it was the old kizaru which I thought he was , kiz would have straight up ignored sentomaru and trolled him
