Is it really the economies and treasuries ? I thought it was just the currency that was aligned with Euro.

In case of US, they can try shifting to solar energy one state at a time.
In simple terms, they used to allocate budget for dams, why not for solar power grids?
What I think can be a good solution;
An electricity generating solar PV power system that is connected to the utility grid.
Or its alternative, but done by the government.
