Zoro protected and saved Luffy during the rooftop. His dragon twister countered Kaido's twister, cut Kaido, and rescued Luffy. Zoro achieved all of that one attack. Zoro blocked hakai. Luffy couldn't do anything against the attack even though he has a tank or defensive mode and barrier haki.
Zoro didn't just outperform Luffy at the end. It was the entire rooftop battle.
Zoro fought Kaido with 20 to 30 broken bones that affected his strength, speed, and power. Hybrid Kaido still couldn't beat him in that condition. That's a L for Kaido.
We don't know how long Zoro can spam asura mode because he's never been in a battle where he's had the opportunity to spam it. He's only used it three times and two of the three times it defeated his opponent. The first time he used it was only time he was in well enough condition to continue fighting afterwards.

Friendly reminder that once you go in your ultimate form directly, you have more chance to finish the fight quickly.
If Zoro uses KOH or Ashura and one shot Lucci, you gonna say "omg Zoro needed his ultimate for Lucci" but when Luffy uses his ultimate form for someone like Lucci, you be like "luffy trolled and threw away Lucci".

If Zoro goes into KOH, struggles against Lucci, and has to use a high powered attack to beat Lucci, you'll have a thousand excuses as to why Zoro struggled, and needed a high powered attack, and try and spin it to still put Zoro on Luffy's level.
