Luffy also says he has to get stronger than everyone else to make sure he can protect his nakama. Zoro is Luffy's nakama. Checkmate.

The problem with the Zoro fans is they always want the opponent that is clearly Luffy's to defeat because they desperately want to separate Zoro from Sanji and try push Zoro is above or equal to Luffy agenda.

Oda constantly however gives Zoro the much lesser and weaker opponent than Luffy's to show levels between them but Zoro fans rather than accepting reality delude themselves and do mental gymnastics to overhype Zoro's opponents to try make them equal with Luffy's despite everybody else knowing they're not.

I genuinely at this point think it's a mental health issue.

The problem with Zoro fans is that they think Zoro is the main character lol. I learned my lesson in WCI with Sanji, it's the goddamn Luffy show, always will be.

Luffys ultimate dream is to become the best leader thus pk. Buggy has proven you can be a weakling but still become pk coz it has nothing about strength but leadership while Zoro is about strength. That's why swordsmen are strongest in the verse coz zoros real dream is to be the best fighter. So we'll just see if oda goes through with their dreams. King being tougher than kaido and one shotting BM is a start.
