Thoughts about what Kizaru said about VP?

Its trash. Kizaru about to turn on the marines for no reason. At the end its everyone against Imu. Even GB and Sakazuki will be Luffys best friends.

Just looking at how the two fights were shown - Kizaru being angry & capturing 500 pirates to vent his frustrations after failing to best Rayleigh v. casually kicking Snakeman Luffy out of the Island.

It's very clear which fight was the more tougher one.

Lol, *causally* kicking a Luffy blindsided by the light who didn't use haki to protect and that lasted for like 1 sec. Your brain and eyes need treatment. You talk as if the fight is over. Kizaru is sweating in Luffy's hand. Luffy hasn't used advanced haki yet but ofc you guys have failed reason, sight, brain and education so stay deluded.

But rather actually took the guy seriously and then vented his frustrations?

Nobody immediately jumps to advanced stuff in one piece from the beginning, you can make the argument that they are conserving strength, but it's more of a plot thing since fights would be over way too quick if the top tiers immediately went all out. On top of that Oda made it impossible to understand when CoC is being used or not. Unless there are big sparks, which can occur with armament as well, you can't really tell.

No remember when Kizaru teased Rayleigh saying "my subordinates are quite strong themselves aren't they ?".
Sentomaru and Pacifista were clapping the crew then and Ray actually wanted to help them.

Yes, Kizaru's finishers (awakening?) won't be sword based, but as for non awakening, the sword is a serious move for Kizaru. Yes, Kizaru uses his weapons accordingly to his opponent, but it doesn't make the sword more casual. He used kicks against 5 pre TS Supernova (Hawkins, Apoo, Drake, Luffy, Urogue) but against Rayleigh, he pulled out his sword and called the situation troublesome. Kizaru knew that his sword is more adequate against Kizaru than his kicks.
