It did broke the internet when G5 was released. Servers crashed left and right and it was highest watched show at that time. Of course, animation was not upto the mark. G5 is not a poor writing when animation was unable to blend cartoon+anime. I didn't even care about GUI goku. Did every episode of so called GUI gokey tickle internet? Have some sense.

G5 Luffy failed to emulate MUI Goku (or even Naruto) hype even after having TOEI hype machine, Warner Bros (allegedly), and Film Red behind it. :lulz:
