If this shit happens, a lot of people will stop reading one piece. He was stronger than croc physically, his hax was the problem. He was about even with lucci physically, forced lucci into hybrid and made him bleed in BASE form and lucci couldnt one shot him. Luffy was fine and dandy stuck between the buildings.
Kaido very casually took no damage while not protecting himself with haki( now luffy may atleast do some damage but what happens when kaido decides to not just stand there and let him hit him, gets serious/blocks with haki), then proceeded to casually SPEED blitz him and one shot him at his strongest. This has never happened before. Luffy was never OVERPOWERED at his strongest. Physical strength.
So no, luffy soloing kaido cannot by any stretch of the imagination happen. There is a limit to ''power levels'' not mattering. This would be straight up fairy tail level ass garbage and would devalue any future fight luffy will have.

He’s going to get his shining 1v1 moment for sure, that much is bound to happen tbh. I can imagine the prospects of the other support characters in Law, Marco, Kid, and whoever else going down towards the climax of the battle but not without doing their fair share of damage to pave way for Luffy to finish him off. That’s inevitable as far as I am concerned. Fights like the Straw Hats vs Oars or even Law/Luffy vs Doflamingo showcase that.
I have a hunch that G4 + Advanced Haki may not be enough tbh, Luffy could get another gear/develop another power. But regardless, Kaido is getting jumped by multiple characters, Luffy won’t solo.

People don't stop reading OP, they just occasionally bitch about the plot points they don't like.
Luffy went into the second attempt at Crocodile thinking it was a hax DF and that he'd win with its weakness. But lost again, and almost died when he did win because of the poison. Like Doflamingo and others , Crocodile was more clever than Luffy if not necessarily a better fighter.
Lucci and Ener, ironically, WERE better fighters and hit a wall against Luffy due to his DF. Regular Lucci hit him with Shigan many times, Ener blasted him... but they just had no effect.
Katakuri would be the first time he's overcome someone who was actually just plain stronger than him, but it involved some cooperation and even aside from that Kaido is in another class. He's been on the seas since Katakuri and the Shichibukai were toddlers and already managed to beat Luffy without really trying. I'd love it if Luffy actually had a way to do it, but I don't think Oda is allowing anyone to pretend it's possible.

There is a possibility with Luffy soloing Kaido if I think about it. Oda proves us time and time again that he can destroy the portrayal of the characters he build.
It wouldn't surprise me if Luffy beats Kaido via KING KING KING KING KING KING KING KING KING Kong gun screaming this is for my frieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeends.

Kaido being Yonko doesn't matter because Oda is inconsistent with writing power levels for his series.
I can't wait for more Big Mom clowning and Kaido's men failing to crucify Momo having plenty of time but no the hero will arrive at the last second everyone is shocked and no one can shoot that f'ing kid because they are looking at Luffy.
I need a break from this series. Depends on what Oda does in the next chapters.
If Big Mom has amnesia back in few upcoming chapters I'm dropping this series at least till the 1000th chapter so I can binge this sh*t.

Oden did well against a rookie that was still learning the ropes. Kaido one-shotted Luffy casually unlike in the anime that has him screaming his guts out. He did it casually and saw Boundman as a bug. There is no great debate to be had

He still needs to fight Cracker in a 1vs1 without PIS or plot or rain 
1000 arms Cracker --> 1000/6 arms = 167 soldiers who goes into this formation with pretzels all lined up to greet him. Advanced Coa is still action from a minor distance, and he needs to get up close with this with soldiers averagin G3 level strength. Her cheated Cracker but is now soloing Kaido: I think not

I think the only reason Oda gave Kaido the 1 v 1 hype was for it to be broken by Luffy just like Katakuri's undefeated record and that's something i don't want to happen
Kaido is above or equal to current teach so if Luffy beats Kaido he is stronger than teach when he would have been a low difficulty 50 chapters ago so even giving teach a 3rd df will not be that hype for me
