Yep it should have been progressive and with Yamato being at least distrustful of his father's enemies at first.

Basically Kaido's son turned out to be Oden like.

Seriously, I'm questioning if he's actually good in this moment. He totally might be, for sure, but he could be a more complicated character and setting up Luffy for disaster.

I think either way will be exciting. If hes a strong ally, there is a chance we have another potentially strong Strawhat on our hands. If he a monster Luffy may have to face in the future, then its being set up right now.

Either way, having Yamato meet Luffy first totally seems like your typical Strawhat introduction, while it also could be a potential future villain.


We gotta see his design, he might be very obviously designed super well and memorable.
