Honestly i hate Oda for starting Kuma's flashback like this. Like we know Kizaru is conscious but currently immoble. We can see Luffy is incapacitated for x amount of time. But with his breaks and a flashback that might last 1-2 months, this sucks lol

I know that I have to take the feats at face value in the end but I'm 99% sure this happened solely for plot purposes like when BM dropped after Queens headbutt.

Luffy and Co will have their clash with Saturn and Kizaru needs to be down for the time being...until it's Logia Awakening time.

It's frustrating weekly, but I think this is exactly because of the flashback he had both on the ground tbh. Majority of Luffy fights have more than one round and the flashback was going to break the momentum, so better have them "rest" and start a fresh a new (and likely final) round once the flashback is done.

Kizaru landed 3 moves with did no real damage while Luffy needed one clean hit to put Kizaru our for a while /sometine (depending if it is 30 min or an hour...)

Imo the reason Oda did this is so that fans can just focus on the kuma flashback. If Kizaru/Luffy were still fighting while the kuma flashback happened their would have been alot of outcry

Luffy wasn't even Kizarus main focus and the only times Luffy landed attacks was when Kizaru went after Vegapunk

In WCI, there was a moment when Katakuri realized he couldnt compete with Boundman physically. This is Kizaru's moment of realization that Luffy is just too physically strong for him.

I think this is when Kizaru goes 100% speed/FS mode and Luffy tries to adapt G5 for speed applications. This might be where G5 Snakeman equivalent pops up.

Katakuri didn't have this moment
He simply regained FS and gave Luffy no opening again
Katakuri was never on the floor crying to his mom 'im sorry I failed you, I can't move again for a while" teh first g4 hit or mutiplee hits

Anyway, I expect round 2 where Luffy uses snakeman with adcoc/adcoa and win
G5 version of snakeman is too much for even awakened Kizaru

Yup, i can think of examples where either 1 of 2 things happen:

- A round 1 and 2 separated by flashbacks (Wapol, Enel, Doflamingo)
- A round 1 and 2 (or 3) separated by Strawhat fights (Crocodile, Moria, Doflamingo, Kaido)

This was blatant setup to get both on the ground, get bonney in trouble, and get VP cornered, all to lead to this FB and whatever it pays off to.

Only thing Kizaru is saying to Saturn is to wait a little bit cause he can't move. Whether one believe this means Kizaru be'll up in 30 seconds or in minutes is up to them.
Although Anyone is going to favor the translation that fits their agenda the most, I'm guilty of this too.
I rather wait for the end of the flashback instead of micro scaling off words, if Kizaru gets up while Luffy is still lookin like a lifeless corpse this a W, if Luffy gets up while Kizaru is still lookin paralyzed this a L, if both Luffy and Kizaru get up around the same time neither
