Chapter Discussion According to Viz. Kizaru wont be mobile any time soon.

If Kizaru was done for the arc oda would’ve had him shown unconscious from a double spread. Odas leaving the door open for Kizaru and Luffy getting up at the same time for round 2 for a reason.
Sawyer in his latest video makes a really good point, he said the reason why Oda probably had Luffy and Kizaru temporarily stop fighting is so that way Oda can change the direction of the plot to Kuma's flashback and have the readers be a bit more invested in that.

Which if you think about it makes sense, if the Luffy vs Kizaru fight was still ongoing while at the same time Kuma's flashback was happening, many readers wouldn't really care about the flashback and would want to go back to the present just to see the Luffy vs Kizaru fight.

Either way once Kuma's flashback is over, both Luffy and Kizaru will get back up and we will have a round 2.

No, it's because Oda is making the flashback so after the flashback, Nika faces Saturn.

Oda had no reason to stop the fight, he could have brought the flashback at any point.

However, what Oda did is clear.

He made Luffy one shot Kizaru and Kizaru fail his mission so Saturn gets on Egghead and he made a flashback that revolves on Nika (Buccaneers, Kuma, Bonney) and Saturn (God Valley) start.

After the flashback, we are getting Nika vs Saturn.

If Kizaru comes back, he will at most face Zoro.

Luffy vs saturn is more likely. We shall see.
Eh the point of the ancient robot seems to be to combat Saturn. This may relate to Saturn and the robot meeting before 200 years ago

The ancient robot is Kuma. The robot has no reason to react to the drums of liberation, it was there 200 years ago but not 800 years go. This is more likely to be Kuma's mind inside the robot.

Kuma's consciousness is inside the ancient robot, that's why the robot reacted to the drums of liberation, Kuma was waiting for Nika.
The ancient robot's consciousness is inside Kuma, that's why Kuma is rampaging Marie Geoise like the robot tried 200 years ago.

After the flashback, the ancient robot may go after Saturn to protect Bonney.

However, the ancient robot will get hypetooled directly.

Finally, Nika will return and fight Saturn to liberate both Kuma and Bonney, as the flashback told us.

Kizaru will be in the flashback!

No! Kizaru betrays Saturn.

The ancient robot is canonically from the void century.

You want Kizaru to be done so bad that you’re trying to write the second creature connected to Joyboy out as fodder.

The ちょっと used in Kizaru's sentence is quite ambiguous.
The "Little" can mean "A Lot" especially when the character is trying to be polite.

«あとちょっと» used for time is always about a future/objective (moving in this case) that is close, there’s hardly any ambiguity. If Kizaru thought he would be down for a long time (like Viz is implying) but wanted to be polite he would have used ちょっと 待って… it would still be lying to his boss but is considered less specific when it comes to duration
It won't hurt you to admit that Kizaru took a heavy blow from Luffy and that one blow was enough to stun him to the ground, bro.
I have no problem admitting it, Luffy got two shot by Apoo and then went on to eat dozens of aCOC hits. Kaido fainted from 4 scabbards. Kizaru being stunned from taking the second strongest known G5 attack straight to the brain after lowering his guard is something I can live with considering how awful Luffy is looking from having to push himself so far. I would have problem with it if I actually believed Kizaru wouldn’t be up all fine ready to fight soon as the flashback ends.

Stephen’s translation is outright wrong in this case. «Official translation» has no authority when we literally have an example of VIZ fuck up with Garling being God’s valley ruler this chapter.

In the end it doesn’t matter because all translations mean that Kizaru will eventually get up this arc

Honestly i hate Oda for starting Kuma's flashback like this. Like we know Kizaru is conscious but currently immoble. We can see Luffy is incapacitated for x amount of time. But with his breaks and a flashback that might last 1-2 months, this sucks lol
It's a plot device.
Dont think too much about it.

Oda found a way to have Kizaru & Luffy go out of commission to hype Gorosei as he entered. He also didnt wanna make Luffy the underdog here hence WSG.

Both of them arent done. The question is whether Luffy moves on to Saturn or stays with Kizaru.

Ninety percent of this is cope hoping Kizaru is somehow paraplegic for the rest of his life and won’t get back up despite him being clearly conscious.
I’m pretty sure the same ninety percent know Kizaru is not more done than Luffy is, in the end it’s just arguing semantics
hopefully flashback will be interesting enough to switch to something else.
