The way he has been writing Zoro throughout the entire series definitely shows a much more malicious side to Oda, you can't do such a recurring pattern or w/e without it being malicious and deliberate. Given how actually racist Wano is and Zoro is confirmed to come from there now, well have ancestry there at least, its only gonna get worse too.

Im still rolling over the fact in the OPLA they had Zoro cutting up Mr 7 (who is black for this too) into literal pieces for no reason and yet when he fights other opponents, he never cuts them up like that, even if he had the opportunity.
