Character Discussion Oda tries so hard to make the celestial dragons look evil. Its not good writing.

But Orochi only being important to Wano goes to my point about a subplot/side-character that didn't add anything to do the story. Also, the only time I see the CDs being significant is during Fishman Island with Shirohoshi's mother flashback. Other than that they have been mostly insignificant other than being the Orochi type side characters of evil and annoyance that Oda loves to recycle.

Much worse has happened in real life.imah8ne being on the bottom of a ship chained covered in feces rowing the boat into battle and if you lost your trapped at the bottom of the boat and you just sink as nobody cares. Not to mention across the world somebody is probably fucking your family because their property.

While this is bad, base on histroy I've read, this is tamed. There are so many screwed up history event in our own world, one piece looks like a day at bootcamp. You can't say Oda isn't doing a good job at making us dislike the CD. I would say, their appearance and actions are not frequent enough to complain. Remember how the narrator dug it into our heads how much the people of wano were suffering under kaido? That is a frequency I consider annoying to the point of desensitizing the audience.
The hardest thing will be if Oda tries to redeem these clowns.
