Why'd you guys revive this brainrotted thread.
Let's start with the obvious: Zoro has right-hand man portrayal, Sanji does not. Trying to shift Zoro's obvious parallels from one character to another that doesn't fit him doesn't make Sanji take Zoro's parallels just because "he's next in line".
"Oden was a temporary member of the Whitebeard Pirates for a short while and he was stronger than Marco so since Zoro is stronger than Sanji, then Zoro parallels Oden and Sanji parallels the YC1" is not even an argument, is an uncohesive string of sentences.
Zoro's parallels:
Zoro has had some very direct parallels with right hand men like Shiryu, Rayleigh (CoC swordsman recruited first) and King ("I'll never lose", strongest member, built different, etc). Those parallels are based on role, attitude, strength and their relationship with their captains.
Even if there are some YC1s with less of a parallel like Marco, all crews don't need to have the same exact relationship, not all of them are bound to be good parallels, which is a good thing.
Yamato being stronger than King is a matter of opinion, but Yamato, Oden or Ace simply have no parallels on the Straw Hats. Even if one wants to claim Yamato is stronger than King, that'd just mean the Beast Pirates are not a perfect parallel of the Straw Hats, and takes nothing away from King's parallelism of Zoro, and Oda couldn't smack you in the face with this comparison harder if he tried to.
Sanji's parallels:
Sanji has some direct parallels himself: Scopper Gaban (third strongest that wants to compete with Rayleigh yet takes a background place compared to him), Queen (warrior of science and clear-cut stronger after King).
The only thing Sanji has to compare him with any YC1s are superficial stuff like being a ladies man (which isn't a perfect comparison anyway, as one is a ladies man and the other is a simp. Both are not the same), nothing about portrayal.
It's amazing that Albino managed to make anyone eat this un-sustainable comparison between crews (that even goes as far as to put Law among Zoro's parallels) to try and shift Zoro's parallels and elevate Sanji to take Zoro's place in the narrative, but it's still brainrotted.
Peace out.
