If you are talking about a state of consciousness that allows you to do things (breathe/walk/drive/talk) without thinking about it, then yes, this state of conscousness do exist.
But if you are talking about the concept of subconscious developped by Freud and promoted by psychanalist and bad psychologist, then no, its not scientific in any way.

I only said that we must be careful when we are talking about the "unconscious" as I know that there are still people here who don't understand that psychoanalysis is BS and prescribe it to potential mentally ill people. (I know for example that If I hadn't been careful about this, I would have been recommended a psychoanalyst to fight of psychosis.. Which could have created a LOT of problems)
