Obito has no one in his life after Rin died. Kuma always had friends to support him or a responsibility to take care of (Bonney) which came as a joy.

The best Obito had would’ve been returning to Konoha but there’s nothing in it for him anymore.

As obito himself says, everyone became an imposter, even the rin that dies
