Elden Ring

Bullets don't hurt. But Taxes do.
That new boss’s name is Messmer the Impaler, the “M” name suggests we are looking at a brand new Demigod
Red hair was a dead giveaway. New great rune?

And love how the mystery is why Miquella was in the Shadow realm in the first place and what did he do. We know he was studying death to help Godwyn and create the Eclipse shotel.

There is a line in the trailer that makes it seem like we aren’t going back in time, but that this Shadow Realm is actively seeking to fight a war with the Lands Between in the present time. Like they are just like the other Demigods and are here to claim the Elden Ring like we are.

This is exactly what I wanted! A new character to expand the lore, not rehashing old ones lol. I’m glad Miquella is getting focused but this new Demigod seems very interesting.

Also someone’s mother was referenced in the trailer, is this someone once again referencing Marika? Perhaps even Messmer themself? I really wonder what all this has to do with Miquella.

Also for those of you who have dove down the “Miquella is St. Trina” rabbit hole, this trailer made that theory look straight up canon lol.

He's my half assed theory based on the little we got:

Messmer is the creator/leader of the Death Dealers and slayed those who live in death, but ended up in the Shadow/dream world. Miquella in his dream state convinced Messmer of the truth of death(that the golden order itself created them). All the conflict right now is because of Miquella's manipulation to achieve a goal that would be revealed/hinted at.

There's something in the DLC that Miquella is after. We know he wants to ascend to God hood, give Godwyn a true death, and stave off the interference of the other gods.

HOH boy, looks like this guy may have been too extreme a Golden Order fanboy and was banished for it.

Also his name has the same ending as Elemer (Messmer) and there is a theory that Elemer was originally a Golden Order executioner who they sentenced to death for his extreme GO fanboyism (IE, he was killing Frenzied Flame devotees and became to extreme (similar to how the WG imprisoned Shiryu for killing too many criminals)).

So yeah, more character development for Radagon if true tbh. I always said his fundamentalism was very misunderstood, people treat him like a blind GO fanboy but this is very false, literally the Age of Order ending requires you to have an extremely high 37 intelligence just to progress the quest, Radagon isn’t some dogmatic brute.

Enter Messmer
:beanmean:
Idk, just speculating

The snake theme about him is strange. Snake’s end the base game are associated with blasphemy but Messmer seems like a dogmatist. He even seems to be opposed to Miquella who becomes opposed to the Golden Order.
Someone pointed out that Messmer is wearing drake armor and has dragon eyes. Also looks all thin and sickly. Loki-Thor dynamic with Godwyn? Lol
