That is one heck of a way to keep the job while still achieving the goal. At this point though it feels like Kizaru will do anything the WG tells him no matter what he feels about it. He doesn't have an ulterior agenda of staying in power as an Admiral in order to change from within, that is the route of Garp, Fujitora and Aokiji. Kizaru differs a bit but he is closer to Sengoku, Ryukogyu and Akainu in that sense.

I mean, I always suspected some of them when would be fodderized. It happened multiple Doflamingo family members, countless BMP commanders and even Page 1 technically, so like those Im not sure.
Luckily that VA had the most basic design so maybe nothing, but ideally if the other 8 VAs are supposed to go after Bonney to turn the Pacifista command back over, it stands reason to assume that some of the crew may have to protect her from "some" of the VAs.
