These are amazing guys, holy fuck! I wish we could have all the supernovas vs an awakened Kaido, but alas....
Awakened Hybrid Kaido looks so amazing, true final boss material, never mind just for an arc or saga even but the whole story! The Yonkos were planned to be the original main villains of the story after all too...
IIRC, Morj was the one who said Kaido drastically changed the tone of One Piece too, around the time he one shot Luffy for the the first time, maybe a bit later at least. Kaido was the game changer, the tone setter, the one who forced you back into reality and grounded you by brutal force and it's so true.
The fact we never saw his victory roar that Big Mom mentioned too really disappointed me but he gave us a ton of amazing panels, speeches and whilst it lasted, some truly extreme tension and hype moments. He's also extremely fun and badass to play as in Pirate Warriors as you would expect too ofc, expect nothing less! The very very strongest himself!
Still by far the best and most epic Yonko. I love Whitebeard and Big Mom, even Shanks somewhat but I prefer Kaido these days most of all. When I go back and look back on some of his more important moments and lines, his character does get better and more impactful, badass and interesting for me. You can understand why he and Doflamingo would work together but also why he did work with Orochi after all, beyond Orochi having such a legendary mythical zoan too ofc.
In other terms, Kaido is Waido ofc.
