DC & Marvel - Official Discussion Thread

My biggest problem with most of current superhero movies is that they're way too cliche-y and as @Monkey D Theories said, have no soul.

I still enjoyed GotG vol 3 very much, and I also really liked Miles Morales Spider-Man movies (can't wait for the last installment in the trilogy!), so it's less of a problem of a superhero fatigue, it's rather dull plots and uninteresting characters.
It’s really a byproduct of capitalism

the film industry is largely driven not by a desire to make good art but by a desire to make profit.

i havent rly been a comic reader but are the comics better than the movies in terms of plot depth?

there r millions of those comics. if they were good then solving the movie problem wudnt be hard by sticking closer to the original source material in comics

for dc, i like the tv shows specially the animated/cartoon ones more than movies. those r rly well done usually

Ah, yes, nostalgia, when MCU still delivered.

Seriously, I tried to watch Marvels the other day and the only reason I didn't turn it off was because I was playing Civ at the same time and was too lazy to turn the movie off...

Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome.

It's truly not the same MCU now, aside from GOTG 3 and perhaps Deadpool & Wolverine, I don't have any interest in the MCU movies and series anymore. For me Avengers: Endgame truly was the end of an era and I haven't felt the excitement I had for the MCU ever since.

I still rewatch Daredevil episodes from time to time and think it's a crime that this series was cancelled and taken of Nettlix due to Disney betting all on Disney + for lower quality Marvel series.
